Biography
David Shore, his biography is not rich in vivid details from childhood and adolescence, was born on 07/03/1959 in London, Ontario, in Canada. The writer has two younger brothers - Robert and Philip. Both of them decided to become rabbis.
After graduating from school, David first went to study at the University of Toronto, and then got a job as a corporate lawyer in a municipal institution.
The work of a lawyer did not give Shore much pleasure, so when he had the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and start working on television, he gladly took advantage of it.
TV career
David Shore wrote his first screenplay for the series Law and Order in 1990. Shore also became the producer of this series. “Law and order” immediately fell in love with both viewers and television critics. The series was aired regularly for 19 years, from 1990 to 2009. In 1994, the writer began work on the script and producing the television series Strictly South. The plot of the new show tells about a mounted police officer from Canada, who ended up in the United States.

In September 1993, New York Police appeared on television. A television series in the genre of dramatic detective was broadcast on the ABC channel from 1993 to 2005 and survived 12 seasons. He is considered one of David Shore's most successful projects. The plot is based on the life of police station number 15, located in New York. Filming was done at the 20-th Centure Fox and Steven Bochco Productions television studios.

"New York Police" is a television series that has been accompanied by scandals from the very first season. This was the first television project in which there were many nude scenes. As a result, the head of the Family Association of America called this show "soft pornography" and urged viewers to boycott the series. Of the 225 ABC affiliates, fifty-seven were forced to remove New York Police from the show. Nevertheless, on an all-American scale, the show was very popular, and over time the boycott of the series stopped.
After the first season, “New York Police” could boast of 26 nominations for the Emmy Award and various prizes of audience sympathy.

In 2003, Shore began work on the new series, "House MD." The idea of his work is to make the series look like a detective story, but about doctors. Fox was interested in the script. The first episode aired in November 2004. The series in a short time became popular throughout the world. In total, 8 seasons of Doctor House were filmed. The series got into the Guinness Book of Records, as it was watched by 80 million viewers.
The protagonist of the show is Dr. House, a wonderful diagnostician working at Princeton Plainsboro Hospital. He has his own team of doctors helping him make medical diagnoses in the most difficult and complicated cases. Gregory House is terrible in nature, due to a trauma that he once suffered, he is lame and constantly has pain in his leg.
When David Shore worked on the script for the series, he associated the main character with the famous detective Sherlock Holmes. It is no coincidence that House sounds like Holmes, and the name of House's best friend, James Wilson, is similar to John Watson, a friend of Holmes.
