Maxim Evgenievich Stavisky - Russian and Bulgarian figure skater born in 1977. He grew up in the city of Rostov-on-Don in a family of engineers. From the age of four, he started to skate, and this occupation immediately became his hobby. He became the two-time champion of the world in ice dancing in 2006 and 2007. Maxim Stavisky - ten-time champion of Bulgaria, was awarded the Order of Stara Planina. He participated in three olympiads and other major sports competitions.

At the junior competitions for Russia, Maxim began to speak with Anastasia Belyaeva. For some period of time he was left without a partner. The skater receives Bulgarian citizenship and begins to represent Bulgaria at the competitions. Until 2005, the couple trains with Alexei Gorshkov, but after the next World Cup they part with him. The new trainers of Albena and Maxim are Natalia Lynchuk and Gennady Karponosov. This yielded positive results, and the couple won the title of world champions for two consecutive years, in 2006 and 2007. They are becoming very popular in Bulgaria. It was during this period of success that a tragedy occurred that turned the skater's fate upside down. During the investigation on this occasion, Maxim announced the completion of a career in sports. The car accident, the culprit of which was the skater, made him overestimate many things.

In 2008, Maxim Stavisky decided to take part in the popular show of Ilya Averbukh on Channel One, which was called "Ice Age". For three seasons, he delighted the audience with his talent and skill.

In addition, he works in a team with Alexander Zhulin as an assistant coach. In 2009-2010, he became the choreographer and director of the skater's program Briand Joubert. In 2012, she plays the main role in the ice tale "The Secret of Treasure Island", directed by Ilya Averbukh. At present, he continues to take part in ice shows and television projects, and is engaged in setting up programs for skaters together with Albena Denkova.

The car accident occurred on August 5, 2007 in Bulgaria. Maxim lost control, his Hammer car flew into the oncoming lane, where a collision with a Honda brand car took place. As a result of the tragedy, the driver of Honda, a 21-year-old boy, died, and the passenger, an 18-year-old girl, fell into a coma. The examination revealed in the blood of Maxim Stavisky alcohol in the amount of 1.29 ppm, which exceeds the permissible figure in Bulgaria (0.5 ppm). Also the cause of the accident was a large speeding. Given the seriousness of the violations and the grave consequences, the prosecutor's office demanded 2.5 years in prison and high compensation to relatives. However, after repeated trials, Stavisky was sentenced to a rather mild sentence of 2.5 years probation, deprivation of rights for 4 years and compensation to relatives of the victims.

For a long time, the personal life of Maxim Stavisky was in the shade, not advertised for the general public. The once created sports duet gradually grew into a family one. For Maxim, Albena became a sports partner and a life partner. The new chapter in their long-term relationship was the birth in 2011 of the son of Daniel. Parenting and family are becoming a priority in life. “Being a father is really cool!” - says Maxim in an interview.
