One of the most famous Polish football players is Borutz Arthur. This goalkeeper has excellent gaming characteristics and a rich career. No wonder he was nicknamed “King Arthur” and “Holy Goalkeeper”.
Childhood and youth
Borutz Arthur was born in 1980, on February 20, in the city of Siedlce. Interestingly, his father is a former hockey player. Mom was a housewife. But Arthur is not the only child in the family. He has another brother and three sisters. The boys shared their passion for football: they spent a lot of time together, chasing the ball on the courts.
And at the age of nine, Arthur went to a football school at the Pogon club. At first he took the position of the striker. However, his coach quickly discerned the future goalkeeper in the boy and decided to put him in the goal. The boy’s grandmother was sure that football for him was just a hobby, entertainment. Therefore, she insisted on getting an education. As a result, Arthur studied at the local technical school and became an auto mechanic. However, he continued to play football. Carier start
The young Pole signed his first contract in 1996 with the Pogon club. Largely thanks to him, the team won the Province Polish Cup trophy in the 1997/98 season.
The following year, the young goalkeeper attracted the attention of representatives of the “Legia” from Warsaw. The capital's club made a young man an offer to move into their composition, and he agreed. True, for the first year and a half he remained in the backup. He was also temporarily rented by FC “Doltsan”, where the goalkeeper acquired playing practice. Only in 2002 Arthur was given a chance to prove himself as part of the capital's club. And by the end of the 2002/03 season, he managed to win a place at the base thanks to his good game.
Interestingly, in 2004, he scored his first and so far the only goal. This happened in the match against FC Vidzev. Then Arthur scored a penalty. True, he celebrated this event, waving a corner flag, for which the referee showed him a yellow card.
In 2005, Arthur Borutz moved to Celtic. In the structure of this club for five years he played 153 matches and repelled 127 goals. Due to such effectiveness, he was even included in the list of players who claimed to be included in the symbolic team of the 2008 world.
Other clubs
After the “Celtic” Arthur Borutz moved to “Fiorentina”. At first, he did not have enough time on the field, which the Pole was unhappy with. And he even assured that if the situation does not improve, then he will leave the team in the same season. His discontent was heard, and Arthur began to receive playing time. Moreover, in the early summer of 2011, he entrenched in the role of the main goalkeeper of “violets”.
In 2012, Arthur Boruts moved to another club. The goalkeeper has become part of the “Southampton”. He signed a contract with the English club for one year. But then he extended the agreement until 2015, as he entrenched as the main goalkeeper of the team.
However, in 2014 it was rented by Bournemouth. The goalkeeper helped his new club rise to the top of the standings, which was the reason why the English bought the goalkeeper completely. So today the Pole continues to defend the colors of this club.

A few words should be said about the gaming characteristics of this football player. He has many strengths. He confidently behaves on the goal line, as well as at the exits, has a great reaction. Borutz Arthur is charismatic. He is a leader by nature, and this quality instills in other players a sense of confidence for the “rear”. Thanks to this, the defenders act calmly and accurately, which affects the overall result of the match. True, Arthur also has disadvantages. This is his excessive emotionality and inability to restrain himself. Because of this, conflicts and brawls with his participation often occur. In the match against Tottenham, for example, he threw a bottle of water at his opponents' fans. And after the victory of “Celtic” over the “Rangers” club, he decided to tease the fans of the rivals by having a dance in front of their stands, the main attribute of which was the flag of his team with the inscription “Champions!”. Because of his temper, Arthur often suffered deletions and received warnings.
But he is definitely a good person. For example, in 2007, on April 21, Borutz Arthur saved the Polish family from a hooligan attack: a young girl, her pregnant sister and brother-in-law.
Another Pole is known as a hero of intrigue. He had a wife, Katarzhina, who gave birth to a goalkeeper's son in 2008. The couple, however, broke up in the same year, because details about the Borutz’s romance with Sarah Manny, the star of the “Idol” show, came to light. By the way, she also gave birth to a child 2 years after the birth of her son Katarzyna. Now Borutz lives with Sarah.
