Gomel clinics provide medical services to citizens of Belarus, foreigners, as well as stateless persons. Currently, this regional center of the Republic of Belarus has a fairly wide outpatient network, which allows us to provide assistance to each of the patients who apply.
About the varieties of clinics in Gomel
The second largest city in Belarus is Gomel. Clinics in such a large village, of course, are many. Currently, there are the following types:
- City polyclinics for adult services (over 10);
- city โโpolyclinics to serve the children's population;
- women's consultations;
- private medical centers;
- dental clinics.
In Gomel, these medical centers operate under the leadership of the administration of the central city polyclinic.
Adult Service
The main primary care specialists in those clinics in Gomel that provide medical care to the adult population of the city are local general practitioners. Such doctors not only advise and prescribe treatment for their patients, but also actively monitor the health status of the attached population.
In addition to general practitioners, local Gomel clinics have specialists such as:
- surgeons
- neurologists;
- endocrinologists;
- cardiologists;
- oncologists;
- otorhinolaryngologists;
- ophthalmologists;
- gynecologists;
- dermatovenerologists;
- infectious diseases;
- occupational pathologists;
- therapists in the prevention department.
You can make an appointment with all these specialists. Each of these doctors to one degree or another is involved in the follow-up.
Child Services
Gomel Children's Clinics operate on almost the same principle as adults. The basis of their work is the provision of medical care to persons under the age of majority, as well as the dynamic monitoring of this category of citizens.
The main actors in such health facilities are local pediatricians. The list of other specialists is almost identical to that described above for clinics serving the adult population.
Women's consultation
Currently, in Gomel, the majority of antenatal clinics are attached to city polyclinics. This is done to improve the availability of medical care for pregnant women. However, several institutions of this type still survived.
The provision of specialized gynecological and obstetric care is provided by the women's clinic. Gomel has several institutions of this type at once. In addition to gynecologists, other specialists can work in a similar clinic. Most often we are talking about general practitioners.
Dental Clinics
These medical institutions are involved in the treatment and prevention of diseases of the teeth and oral cavity. In Gomel, state dental clinics constitute a single network that provides assistance to the population on a territorial basis. Currently, the city has a central city dental clinic and 5 of its branches. Dental paramedics, dentists, dentists and dentists work here. In such clinics, not only dental treatment is performed. Dentures can be made here. Also, in such institutions, rehabilitation of the oral cavity and various cosmetic procedures (on a fee basis) are carried out.
Private medical clinics
Such institutions have become widespread over the past few years. Among the most famous private clinics are the following:
- "Medea".
- "Belsono."
- "Elmed."
- Sinlab.
- "Children's doctor."
- Clinic of Aesthetic Surgery and Cosmetology of Dr. Cheslav Kushelevich.
- Women's clinic.
- Alfaklinik.
Among these private medical institutions there are centers that provide some specialized services or a whole complex of them. Naturally, all these Gomel clinics set prices for services different for the same services.
Advantages and disadvantages
Gomel is a city whose population has already exceeded 500,000 people. So many people need a serious outpatient network to provide primary care.
Most of the cityโs population prefers state clinics, since almost all services are provided free of charge. The main disadvantages of such institutions are long lines, especially for appointments with narrow specialists and ultrasound, as well as the fact that specialists with little practical experience often work here.
As for private medical centers, you will have to pay for each type of service, but there are practically no lines in such institutions, and doctors with first or highest qualification categories are sitting at the reception.
Each clinic, regardless of whether it is private or public, has a sufficient client base and does not stand idle without work.
