In the history of sports there are many good tennis players, but outstanding units. Truly, John McEnroe was one of them. It combined talent and hard work, which brought him to the podium of honor and glory.
Childhood
John McEnroe was born in the winter of February 16, 1959, in the United States of America. His father was a military man at the air base and quit when his firstborn was born. Then he worked as an office manager and studied law in the evening shift, the mother of the future tennis player was a nurse.
Our hero began to get involved in sports at the age of eight: he constantly participated in youth tournaments, and after four years he won a place in the top ten tennis players in America in his age group. At twelve, he begins to seriously engage in sports at the Tennis Academy. John McEnroe achieved excellent results, but, despite this, he always dreamed about professional basketball activities. Along with school lessons and tennis training, the boy was engaged in the delivery of newspapers and moonlighting at tournaments.
In 1975, the boy begins individual training with Tony Pelafox, and this gives its results: at the Junior Cup he easily falls into the national team. The future tennis player set goals and confidently walked towards them. John mackinroy - who is this? The name begins to sound more often on the lips of Americans immediately, as he wins the second prize in the junior rankings of his category in 1976, and then the boy first takes part in games. As a result, at the end of 1976, the athlete took 246th place in the ranking.

John McEnroe becomes a professional athlete at the age of nineteen. He wins eighty-four singles tournaments! In doubles, he won seventy-eight victories. His number of titles won allows him to take third place. A professional tennis player is among the clear leaders, letting forward only the legendary tennis players Todd Wubridge and Daniel Nestor, as well as Mike and Bob Brian. If we summarize the number of his victories in all competitions, then he occupies the first, well-deserved step in the entire long history of professional tennis sports.

Career is coming to an end

The break in the games is greatly delayed - for seven months. After the absence, the athlete proceeds to intensive training and begins to devote himself to physical training much more. In 1986, the first-born Kevin is born to the athlete, and John registers his relationship with Tatum Onil. Right after the wedding, at the end of summer, tennis sponsors begin to fear that the ratings will fall, and McEnroe has to start playing again. A happy personal life affects the athlete’s skill in the best way, and he wins three tournaments in half a season.
1987 becomes the most unsuccessful year in the professional life of a tennis player: he does not win a single tournament, he is fined, disqualified for unsportsmanlike behavior. Over the following years, John has managed to win just a few truly important tournaments.
Already in 1991, John McEnroe won his final tournament. Tournament photos are easy to find in specialized sports galleries. In 1992, at the Australian Championship, he manages to achieve only a quarterfinal.
Finish
Ironically, the end of his career coincides perfectly with the end of the marriage. His wife files for a divorce, which is formalized only two years after filing the application. Already in 1997, he marries again, and he has two daughters. John McEnroe organizes a rock band and tries to pursue a career as a rock musician. He also begins to work as a sports commentator on several American television channels. After the sunset of his brilliant career, he transferred to the state and is already fully engaged in commenting on matches. Also, John Mackinroy, a tennis player in the past, begins to engage in art: he tried to become an art critic, opened a gallery and even put together a small collection of paintings.
Life after tennis
Already in 2002, the athlete released an autobiographical book. Two years later, he even tries to pursue a television career and takes the place of a TV presenter in the Macinroy show of the same name and in the television game Armchair. Programs existed for a short time, and because of low ratings they are closed. This does not end there, and John plays in several films and series, such as Captived Millionaire, Wimbledon, Studio 30.
Soon after the restoration, the museum-locker room opens in its original form, which remained exactly the same as in 1920. The tour through it is a unique holography - a double of John McEnroe. The tennis player does not manage to forget his favorite business, which has become his life, and in 2010 he opened a specialized tennis academy for young men who want to devote themselves to the career of a professional athlete.
