Diorama is a moment of history in a very realistic photo

A diorama is a work of art, which with the help of photos, correctly exposed lighting and layouts of various objects will help to plunge into the past or someone’s imagination.

Have you ever visited museum exhibitions or the so-called panoramic reconstructions of certain episodes of our or past time, battle or war? Everyone is interested in being in the very center of events, feeling that smell, hearing sounds and generally touching a piece of history with the feeling as if he had been there, taking part in this historical moment.

Few people know that at such exhibitions there are both panoramic and diorama reconstructions.

What is a panorama?

This word has many meanings. In painting, it is characterized as an image with a circular view, in the foreground of which are various objects. The panorama creates a feeling of full presence in this picture.

Meaning of the word “diorama”

If the panorama is an image with a circular view, then in our case we see a picture curved in a semicircle, in the foreground of which there are also various objects for the most realistic transmission of events. Creating a believable illusion helps create the right lighting and noise background.

History

Louis Jacques Daguerre is the inventor of the diorama, who in 1822 impressed the audience of France with his breathtaking exhibition, a variety of subjects and an excellent performance of this art form.

In the Soviet Union in 1929, the drama “Capture of Rostov” about the events of the Civil War was presented, its author was Mitrofan Borisovich Grekov.

Varieties

A mini-diorama is small figures of people or animals placed on the background of a specific image. Such are often found in museums, for example, a model of a city or any other locality, where people of typical appearance and representatives of flora and fauna characteristic of the region are present. This type of miniature is very popular recently not only among historians, but also among young people. With the help of small figures and pictures, you can simulate an episode of any story or novel.

In Moscow, reconstruction is presented on Poklonnaya Hill - this is a diorama of six plots that show the battles for the liberation of the cities: Stalingrad, Leningrad, Kursk, as well as the storming of Berlin. This exposition is organized very realistically. In the halls, shots and the clatter of horse hooves are heard, the coolness corresponding to the season is felt, the smell of burning and gunpowder is present in the air.
