The appearance of his pseudonym, the author of "Naturalist's Travels" is obliged to the director of the Leningrad Comedy Theater Petr Fomenko. The times were such that in the theater, and not only in this, the Jewish surnames did not cause enthusiasm, and the pseudonym was a creative necessity. As Pavel Evgenievich himself later told about this, initially he wanted to become Lyubimov, translating his surname from German - “mine liber”. However, Fomenko proposed his own option, citing the fact that there are many Lyubimovs, but there are no Lyubimtsevs yet. Especially for a comedian, the surname was the best fit.
Way to tv
The story of the Lyubimtsev TV presenter and traveler begins back in 1996. A fellow student at the Shchukin school, Mikhail Shirvindt, invited him as the author of the texts to his program Live News. Soon, a short column “Did you know that ...” appeared under his authority.
His talent as a storyteller or reader, as Pavel Lyubimtsev himself prefers to call himself, quickly gained popularity and resulted in the idea of creating an author's project.
Naturalist Travels
The first release of the program by Pavel Lyubimtsev was released on September 12, 1999. As the author and presenter later admitted, in preparing the issues he was tormented for a long time by a sense of guilt. Having the opportunity to travel around the world, he would rather prefer his sofa, but for many people this is a pipe dream. Urban Journey is Pavel Lyubimtsev’s latest large-scale television project. If “Naturalist's Travels” was devoted to wildlife, then in this series of programs the emphasis was on the traditions, culture, lifestyle and everyday life of different states. Under the vigilant eyes of a tireless traveler, both the architecture of world capitals and national cuisine, local communication features, weekdays and holidays, fashion, music, entertainment and much more that make up the life of the capital city fell.
