Ear Piercing - Timeless Beauty

The word "piercing" is now not so easy to surprise anyone. In the ranking of the most popular directions of bodmod (body modification - body modification (English)), it is undeniable and has long been on the first lines. And between a huge variety of punctures, one of the favorites is ear piercings.

A man from the barbarian years has sought to decorate his body, and it was ears that became the most ideal place for this. They are open to the eyes of others, and easily attract attention to themselves. The relief of the auricle is anatomically complex, and this allows you to embody the most unthinkable fantasies of lovers of earrings. In addition, piercing in the ear heals faster than in other parts of the body.

The fashion industry did not fail to take advantage of this and made earrings an accessory that was not subject to time, and the word "piercing" became a synonym for sex appeal. However, the modification of the ears is done not only for the sake of aesthetic pleasure - it also allows you to get rid of labels, stand out from the crowd, join the informal style, or simply spiritually approach your idol.

It is believed that the fashion for piercing is established by Western culture. This statement is only partially true, because it "works" only in the modern world. After all, for example, in old Europe only people belonging to certain social groups and classes had the right to pierce their ears . But the progressive community made a big leap, and ear piercings ceased to be an ordinary body jewelry. Informal subcultures made of it its own attribute, a distinctive sign, a symbol of protest. This is what prompted the society to switch from the traditional puncture of the lobe to decorating almost the entire ear with earrings.

Currently, you can count about ten basic variations of ear piercing. Of course, the most conservative representatives of the population pay tribute to traditions and are limited only to a puncture of the lobe. More creative and daring, contrary to the generally accepted framework, pierce along and across even the ear cartilage. Extreme comrades insert open and closed tunnels (plugs) into their ears, and extremely advanced individuals are able to combine all types of punctures in one ear.

Ear piercings have long become an integral part of the image of many people, regardless of gender, age, worldview, or profession. But why, then, do some manage to strike a balance between a tribute to fashion and their own style, while others look funny and pathetic? The secret lies not only in the individual having a sense of proportion, taste and sanity. Personal attitude also plays a very important role: is there a person who he claims to be and who he positions himself to be. Punks, Goths and other adherents of subcultures will look very organic with the appropriate external attributes, and although a look at the piercing of the ear and other parts of the body will cause the most conflicting sensations, nevertheless, these punctures and jewelry will very harmoniously fit into the image.

It is clear that a bank employee with tunnels or a school teacher with a “barbell” in an eyebrow or a nose ring will look a little ridiculous and extremely inappropriate in relation, at least, to the place of work. But still, there are real fashion victims among young people who are ready to thoughtlessly copy and “try on themselves” absolutely everything that, one way or another, can be attributed to glamor and style. They don’t care about their own "I", it’s more important for them to insert a ton of iron into themselves and exponentially increase the number of holes on the body. They do not think that such excesses can eventually bother and further spoil life. After all, if a small hole in the lobe grows over time, then the large hole left after the already unnecessary tunnel simply hangs in the form of an unaesthetic piece of skin. Agree, the sight is not the most pleasant, and this can only be corrected with the help of surgical intervention. Therefore, whether you are doing ear piercing, or navel, or nose piercing, it is important that this is done deliberately, accurately, and not spoil the impression of your style.
