Modern fishing enthusiasts need to solve many problems both before and in the process of fishing. When a person provides himself with all the gear, he should know how to handle them properly. Any self-respecting specialist in this field knows how to knit knots on fishing. With their help, you can connect fishing lines, snap a hook or set a shock leader.
The main types of fishing knots
Fishing line is an integral part of activities such as fishing. The nodes for its binding vary in function and scope, however, we can distinguish several main groups in which there are many varieties.
Knots for tying hooks
There is one simple and reliable fishing knot for tying a hook - an “improved clinch”, but it is not recommended for braids or phytocarbonate woods. To try it in practice, you just need to thread a fishing line with a diameter of not more than 4 mm into the hook, leaving the working end 8-9 mm long and wrapping them with a stretched thread at least 5 times. Then you need to pass it first into the formed loop near the hook, then into the one that formed after this. Next, we tighten the fishing line, thereby creating the final shape of the knot, and wetting it with saliva, we fix it, moving it to the hook, after which we need to remove the excess, leaving safe 1.5-2 mm.
Nodes for linking lines
Consider such a fishing knot using the reliable and compact Albright Knot as an example, which easily passes through the through rings of the rod, which will help to reliably attach the shock leader to the main line. With it, you can connect 2 threads of different diameters. To do this, make a loop of 10 cm from a thick fishing line and, holding its base with your fingers, skip a thin thread there and wrap it with about 4-5 turns and leaving the ends 12-15 cm long. Then, gently pull the ends, after wetting the threads saliva. Be sure to trim the excess, leaving 1.5-2 mm fishing line so that you can fix this fishing knot if it loosens.
Wobbler nodes
When fishing for predatory fish , wobblers are often used as bait. Its position on the fishing line should not be constrained so that it can move freely in the water. The fishing node "Rapala" will help to solve this problem. At the beginning of knitting, you need to twist the fishing line once, leaving a length of 15-17 cm, which should be stretched into the ring of the wobbler. Then pass the free part into the formed loop, thereby forming a working end of 15 cm. It must be threaded into the middle of the straight knot and wrapped with the main thread 4-5 times. After that, tighten the loop at the wobbler, leaving 1-1.5 cm and passing the working end into the middle of the large knot, moisten the knot with saliva, then finally fix it, while pulling up the main and the remaining part of the fishing line.
Other types of fishing knots
In addition to the above types, there are also: nodes for hooks with blades, stop (limiters for floats) and auxiliary for side leash. They help fishermen solve many other problems, the main thing in this matter is to choose the most suitable fishing line thickness.
