In 2009, the Gerlen perfumery house presented the world with its new creation by Dolphins Jelk - the perfume āLittle Black Dressā.
Classics of the genre
Guerlain embodied her idea of āāthe great Cocoās creation in the fruit and oriental theme, putting it on her classic oriental bottle. This reading of the classics caused an mixed reaction. Why? The answer is simple: sheet music.
If you recall Chanelās preferences in smells, itās quite clear why the perfume āLittle Black Dressā caused controversy. A fan of Coco's fresh, semi-natural flavors would hardly have allowed a combination of anise, Sicilian lemon and almond in the top notes. Although a certain amount of freshness was nevertheless added by Dolphin Dzhelk, perfume critics clearly hear notes of cherry.
Be that as it may, but the heart of the aroma is a classic fruit-oriental combination: raspberries are shaded by the echoes of roses, macaroons and licorice. The incoming train is just as sweet: vanilla notes are intertwined with black tea, musk and patchouli.
The first perfume āLittle Black Dressā was called the āliteā version of the popular fragrances from the 90s by Terry Magler (āAngelā and its sequel). Perhaps this is so, but still this perfume from Guerlain has one important feature: the fruity aroma prevails in it, however, no one will say that the composition is an unstable ācompoteā. That prompted the new "nose" of the perfume house, Thierry Wasser, to create a continuation of the story.
Fragrances from Wasser
Thierry Wasser took a fresh look at the controversial spirits of Guerlain. The ālittle black dressā of the 2011 version plays with completely different notes. In a first approximation, a combination of lemon, bergamot and galbanum is heard. From the original composition, only acidic lemon remained, strengthened by two citrus components. The heart remained just as sweet, but its composition was completely changed. Marshmallow notes are gently mixed with iris and orange flowers. The train remained orientally beautiful: leather and musk add passion to the aroma.
Such a composition was accepted by critics with greater favor, which the new designer took advantage of, presenting three more variations on the theme of a limited updated edition.
In 2012, a new fragrance from Guerlain is released. The perfume āLittle Black Dressā (now dressing) is changing its sound again. This time, Thierry Vassan decided to give his creation Parisian chic and frivolity of youth. Top notes are based on an elegant combination of fruit and citrus notes: cherries and currants are combined with bergamot and almonds. The heart of the composition is a combination of floral oriental sounds: the roses of Bulgaria and Turkey are shaded with black tea and licorice. Vassan put the favorite notes of Guerlain's house in the train: tonka bean, iris, patchouli, anise and vanilla form an enchanting sweet cocktail. This fragrance is designed for a beautiful Parisian woman, changeable and elusive, like a spring wind.

In October of that year, Vassan again presented the perfume āLittle Black Dressā, but this time in the concentration of eau de toilette. They are significantly different in composition from toilet perfumes. The top notes are composed only of floral sounds: green tones are gently intertwined with jasmine and rose. In the hair - and this is exactly how it is recommended to wear this perfume - it is revealed with a fruit cocktail of apple, cherry and orange. The train is composed of notes of white musk, white ambergris and patchouli.
The line of the Black Dress is closed by perfumes created for women. It is a more mature aroma. The top notes remain the same as in the perfumed water, and the heart is complicated by a mixture of violets and roses flavored with cherries. Base notes remain unchanged.
The āLittle Black Dressā line, created by Jelck and refined to perfection by Vassan, will satisfy the tastes of any lady who prefers the sweetness of fruit and oriental flavors.
