Ufa River: rafting, fishing, travel

The Ufa River, or Ufimka, flows through the Urals and Cis-Urals, Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk Regions, Bashkortostan and flows into Agidel (the Volga River basin). Its length is almost 920 km, and the basin area is 53 tons km². It originates in Lake Ufimskoye, in the Uraltau ridge. The nature of the river is very variable: if in the upper reaches it turns into a raging stream with rapids, then, flowing through the valleys, it remains calm and smooth. And karst is also developed in its basin. In winter, the river is covered with ice (from late October to early December), and in April and early May it opens. The food is mostly snowy.

Rafting on the Ufa River

For travel by water, Ufa is most interesting in its upper reaches. You can also get to Ufa from the dam of the famous Pavlovskaya hydroelectric station. This route can be completed in 2-3 days, and at the same time visit one of the sights of Bashkiria - the source of the Red Key. In general, the Ufa River has the easiest degree of difficulty - the first, rafting along it is interesting and safe enough, in addition, there is something to see. Now water tourism is gaining popularity, but already many tourists on boats, kayaks, rafts annually pass along the Ufa River, and the popularity of the reservoir is explained by interesting, but quite safe rapids. Here lies the conditional boundary between Asia and Europe. In the upper reaches of Ufa is the highest point in the Middle Urals. Picturesque cliffs and hills, numerous karst phenomena, mysterious caves, dense thickets of bird cherry trees, pine and birch forests are scattered along the shores.

Fishing

Many fishermen are well aware of the Ufa River. Bashkiria is generally replete with richest reservoirs, so the huge catches of pike and chub, burbot and trout, pike perch, gudgeon, bleak and many other types of fish are not surprising. Fisheries monitoring posts closely monitor fishing, preventing poaching.

Rest on the Ufa River

When thinking about a vacation on the banks of the Ufa River, of course, first of all, you should think about green tourism. During the Soviet era, tourists from all over the country flocked to the picturesque forests that shelter the banks of Ufa. Throughout the summer, columns of smoke from the bonfire were pouring into the night sky, bard songs were spreading around the neighborhood ... You can see a lot of tents even today. Many of them combine forest nights with rafting, lingering for several days in places they especially like. Those who do not have sufficient equipment just come to the river and set up camps. The best time to relax in these places is the beginning and end of summer. July is the warmest month in these parts, however in the afternoon it can be unbearably hot here.

Another subspecies of green tourism is living in villages. Many local residents have long been skilled at earning extra income by renting out rooms or entire houses for visitors. This allows you to take a break from the bustle of the city for those who want to live in the lap of nature, but do not like camping vacations. Homemade food, fresh air, the beauty of nature around - all this can give the Ufa River. And what could be better for a tired city dweller than to live in a cozy village house among the Ural forests?
