This breed got its name from the Akhal oasis and the Turkmen tribe teke, it was the nomads who owned the best representatives of the horses. These are one of the most ancient horses of eastern origin, today their number is insignificant, which explains the high price for them. The Akhal-Teke type is very different from other breeds and does not at all look like nomad horses. Such horses are characterized by high growth, dryness (only muscles and not a single extra percent of fat), grace.
Many believe that the Akhal-Teke horse of the Isabella color originates from
Arabian horses, but, most likely, these two breeds formed parallel to each other. They are very similar to each other - both eastern, hot blood, so managing them is quite difficult. The Akhal-Teke horse was previously bred on the territory of the Parthian kingdom, and then in Persia, Turkmenistan. way of movement, animals often took part in combat battles.

The lynx, step and gallop of horses is high, flowing and smooth, which helps them to move on unsteady sands. The horses, although it is better compared to other southern breeds, can withstand frosts, but they are still afraid of them, but the dry and hot climate is just right for them.
The Akhal-Teke horse of Isabella color as a result of special conditions of detention formed a proud and wayward character. pink-milky color with yellow, its eyes are green or blue. This variety is named after the Spanish queen Isabella, who promised not to take off her shirt for three years, apparently of such a yellowish color.
