The protagonist, sixteen-year-old teenager Scott McCall, is attacked one night in a forest by a huge strange beast that looks like a wolf. After a while, the guy notices certain changes in his body: the hearing becomes aggravated, inhuman physical strength, endurance and the ability to accelerate regeneration appear.
