Not everything in our world is beautiful. There are many deviations from generally accepted norms and standards. A television program on the Discovery Channel, entitled "Body Anomalies," tells about the most extraordinary people in the world, the most terrible diseases, deformities and abnormalities generated by nature. Not everyone is given a beautiful and proportionate body; there are people who, from birth, have encountered very, very unpleasant surprises. What does he live in our world? What difficulties do they have? "Anomalies of the body" - a documentary film that tells about the difficult fate of such people, their aspirations, feelings and relationships with other members of society. The film crew of the project, traveling around the world, collects unusual stories and introduces viewers to them.
This documentary and educational film was released in 2013 and consists of six episodes describing various anomalies of the body. All series are freely available, they can be viewed online. Each of them is not like the other, each will tell its own unique story.
In the first episode of the film "Body Anomalies," we will meet a nine-year-old boy, Jose, who has an unusual growth and has grown on his neck, leaving every day less and less chance of a successful recovery and threatening the child with death. We also learn the story of the
ugliest girl in the world, who has long been accustomed to the fact that she is constantly staring and poking her fingers on the street. Instead of finally giving up, she changed her life for the better. In addition, the series will tell about the incredible Indian girl with eight limbs, who urgently needs surgery, as well as about a thirty-year-old woman imprisoned in the body of a little girl. Finally, we learn about another Indian girl who is not afraid of the bites of
poisonous snakes.
The second series also consists of several stories. The first of them is about two amazing twins who have fused their heads and survived despite all the forecasts. Next, we learn about an Indian suffering from neurofibromatosis. Because of this genetic disease, the man’s face was disfigured by a terrible tumor that grew to incredible sizes. In addition, the second issue tells about a two-year-old Indonesian baby who is addicted to nicotine and smokes 40 cigarettes a day, as well as a woman suffering from a rare skin disease, which makes her skin 10 times thicker than that of an ordinary person.
The third series of the documentary “Body Anomalies” tells us about a five-year-old girl suffering from primordial dwarfism, which is why her height and weight are the same as that of a newborn child, despite the fact that the body has the correct proportions for its age. Next, we will meet a young girl whose body hides a parasitic twin in herself . The following story is about a man with a hole in his face who survived after a terrible disease and many operations. Finally, the third issue will introduce us to the story of an incredible tree man from Indonesia, as well as a little girl covered in wool.
These are far from all the anomalies of the body that we will encounter in the
documentary series of the same name
