Biography
Sergei V. Mozyakin was born on March 30, 1981 in the city of Yaroslavl, USSR. Even from school, he was passionately fond of sports. The idol of Sergei Mozyakin was already Vladislav Tretyak.
The boy dreamed of a goalkeeper career, but the coach had other plans: little Seryozha was tried as a striker, and he lived up to expectations, demonstrating the enormous speed of skating on ice. This could not go unnoticed: at the age of 17, Sergei Mozyakin was offered to play as a striker in Torpedo (Yaroslavl). Here the hockey player revealed himself in full - he was invited to the Canadian club Val-d'Or Foreurs, participating in the junior league. In the club, Sergey played only 4 matches, which were deemed unsuccessful, so Mozyakin leaves Canada.
Professional career
He begins his career in professional hockey with participation in the club “CSKA”. Together with the team, Sergey played more than three hundred matches in seven seasons, broke into the Super League, scored twenty goals in the opponent’s goal and made more than thirty assists.
Sergey did not stop there and changed the club to Atlant near Moscow. As part of the team, he manages to reach the finals of the KHL Championship, but the treasured Gagarin Cup escapes to the Salavat Yulaev team in the final game.
