How it all began
The starting point of the history of the Chicago Blackhawks club can be considered the moment when in the mid-1920s the millionaire Frederick McLaughlin bought the unknown Portland Rosebeds club and gave it a new name, which today remains unchanged.

Next were the bad seasons and the restructuring of the team. The more Americanized line-up, led by Bill Stewart, created a real sensation in 1938, because the Blackhawks showed a very uncertain game in the regular season, but in an amazing way defeated all opponents in the playoffs and took the second Stanley Cup.
Failed years
The 40s and 50s can be safely called the worst in the history of the Chicago team. The club could not even get into the playoffs. The situation changed in 1961 when the Stanley Cup was again taken to Chicago. The hockey club was again at the top of the NHL rating.
The entire period before the start of the new millennium, “Blackhawks” many times reached the finals of the tournament, but each time lost to their rivals. The club management was tired of failures, and in 1999, the restructuring of the team began. The composition has again undergone major changes. Young players were invited to the club, but this did not affect the situation much.
The turning point in the history of the club was the shutout 2004/05. The head coach of the team was Trent Yoni. The club joined another 9 hockey players. Despite several unsuccessful seasons in 2009, “Hawks” reached the final of the conference, but lost to “Wings”. But next year, the fourth Stanley Cup was already won, not least thanks to the actions of a young star - striker Jonathan Taves. “Chicago” is a hockey club in which the talents of many NHL stars of the past and present centuries have been revealed.
The next success did not have to wait long. In 2013, the Stanley Cup again fell into the hands of the Blackhawks captain after a landslide victory over the Boston Bruins. In 2015, for the third time in five years, he won the Chicago hockey club in the Stanley Cup final. Chicago Blackhawks replenishes its museum with the sixth, most prestigious award in the NHL.
