Bauman hospital: history, services, address, how to get

A lot of things are connected with the name of Nikolai Bauman, a famous revolutionary, in the capital of our country. In his honor are named metro station, school and street. And also - Bauman Clinical Hospital: she also bears, as you might guess, the name of this illustrious figure of the revolution. You can learn more about the history of this clinic, about what services it provides, how it works and where to find it, from our material.

A bit about Bauman

The Bolshevik Nikolai Ernestovich Bauman lived a short life - only 32 years - but managed to be remembered for many of his deeds. He was born in Kazan, in the family of the owner of the wallpaper factory, and was German by birth. He was a student at a veterinary institute in his native city, it was there that he became interested in the then forbidden literature of Marxists and Narodniks. Even in Kazan, he began to slowly engage in revolutionary activities, and having moved to Petersburg in the late nineties of the nineteenth century, he began to take a much more active part in the revolutionary struggle.

Nikolay Ernestovich Bauman

He was arrested several times, but each time managed to escape. Since 1900, he was personally acquainted with Lenin, carried out his instructions. In 1905, he died in a ridiculous street skirmish with one of the workers of a Moscow factory when he went there to campaign people to join his party.

Bauman Hospital No. 29: appearance history

The official year of birth of the hospital, named after the revolutionary Bauman, is considered to be the 1875th. Although in fact the hospital existed long before the birth of Nikolai Ernestovich himself. She has been counting her story since 1864: it was then that Princess Natalia Shakhovskaya founded the community of sisters of mercy, called "Satisfy My Sorrows."

Natalya Shakhovskaya

This community was located not far from the main military hospital - because, firstly, many sisters worked there, and secondly, it was an excellent base for training and for subsequent employment. The community was known not only in Moscow, but also beyond its borders.

Community quench my sorrows

From year to year, it expanded, expanded, and, finally, the day came when a small room near the hospital was not enough. A new house was built for the sisters of mercy - a three-story mansion on the land that previously belonged to Count Orlov. The board of trustees of the hospital began to work there, the appropriate staff was recruited there, two departments were opened - one for women and one for men. And the new hospital in the community has become fully operational. This happened in 1875, which is why this year is called the founding date of the Bauman City Hospital.

Hospital later

If at first only two departments functioned in the hospital at the community, in which patients were sorted by gender, then just a year later there were three departments, and they differed in the nature of the disease. One fell into those who can be cured, and those who do not lie in the hospital, but only come for treatment (they are in the day hospital, they would say now). In another - those whose illness is incurable, and, finally, in the third - mentally unhealthy citizens.

Community building

12 years after the official opening (that is, in 1887), the future Bauman hospital began to specialize in psycho-neurological diseases; she was also headed by a psychiatrist. The formation of the hospital took place precisely during this period, and until the beginning of the new century the staff was selected (as a rule, professors and teachers of the medical university were invited), the work of the departments was improved. There were many patients, there were not enough nurses, and therefore, in 1912, nursing courses were opened at the community.

The start was successful, the further functioning was the same, and over time, these courses developed into a nursing school. It should be noted that the sisters of mercy of the community were not just nurses — they performed a monastic lifestyle in the medical service, completely renouncing all worldly things. Four years earlier (in 1908) there were changes in the profile of the future Bauman hospital - a department for typhoid patients appeared.

After the revolution

After the 1917 revolution, the community hospital was devastated, and the community itself ceased to exist. Nevertheless, the institution was restored by reorganizing into a city hospital and assigning it the name of Nikolai Bauman. It happened in 1922. From that moment, a new round in the history of Baumanka went.

By the thirty-fifth year of the last century, Bauman Hospital No. 29 (it was precisely this serial number of the clinic that was assigned) had new departments, among which there were also radiological and diagnostic ones. The staff expanded, narrow specialists appeared, and free consultations began to be practiced.

War and after it

During the war years, the hospital worked as a hospital, taking the wounded. A commemorative plaque with information about this has still been preserved. The flood of victims was enormous - for example, already in the first two weeks of work more than a thousand people arrived there - and this is because there were half as many seats. Only the professionalism of nurses and doctors and the spirit of charity and self-sacrifice, which has been in the corridors of the building since the time of the community, helped to withstand such a pressure.

Since the mid-fifties, the Bauman hospital has received clinical status.

Currently

Now, on the basis of the Bauman hospital in Moscow, there are departments of surgery at Moscow State University and Urology at the Russian National Research Medical University. The name of the former community “Satisfy My Sorrows” has become a slogan, the motto of the hospital and hangs over its gates.

The structure of the medical institution now has fifteen different departments (otorhinolaryngology, urology, therapy, traumatology, resuscitation and so on), in which there are many more of its departments. The Bauman Hospital also has antenatal clinics and has its own maternity hospital. There is also a separate children's center where you can watch your baby from birth to three years old on the basis of the perinatal center of the maternity hospital.

About the hospital maternity ward

About the maternity hospital “Baumanka” it should be said in more detail, since it is not just a maternity hospital - it is a whole center. It can rightfully be called if not the largest in the capital, then one of those - for sure.

A perinatal center operates on the basis of the maternity hospital, where you can not only conduct an already held pregnancy, but also plan it. The specialists of the center also help women who are faced with the problem of miscarriage - consultations are held for them. The main task of the perinatal center is to identify all possible complications of pregnancy at the earliest possible date. In addition, all children born in the hospital of this hospital must be observed until they reach the age of three.

Rodd 29

A school for women with a carbohydrate metabolism disorder is also operating at the maternity hospital, and prevention of possible complications in pregnant women with diabetes is being carried out. And also within the framework of the work of the children's center, which was already mentioned above, it is possible to vaccinate your kids. All vaccinations are of very high quality (French, Belgian, American vaccines).

Supervision Contract

The maternity hospital of the Bauman hospital No. 29 provides parents with the opportunity to conclude a contract for annual close monitoring of the newborn - as it is now fashionable to say among young people, 24/7 observation. The clinic’s doctors will develop individual programs specifically for your baby - health preservation programs, which will include nutrition, sleep, and the regimen of the day as a whole. Regular meetings with specialists, the ability to communicate by phone at any time, consultations on the smallest issue - all this and not only is included in the program of the contract for annual monitoring. Of course, after a year, the contract can be re-signed again. To learn more about what is included in the annual contract program and why it is more profitable and convenient, call the numbers listed on the official website of the institution. We add only that the price of the issue, although quite high, seems to be quite justified, taking into account all the services provided by doctors. The approximate cost of such a contract is in the range of sixty thousand rubles (maybe a little less).
