The work of make-up artists and dressers
They didn’t save on scenery. For filming, several thousand costumes were sewn. Moreover, each kingdom has its own fashion, its own style of clothing. This is not surprising, because the fact that under the power of the royal seamstress is completely inaccessible to the craftswoman from the Wild Tribe.

Dragons, giants and mammoths
The main difficulty was that such creatures simply do not exist in nature. But if the problem with the giants could be solved with the help of scaling and makeup, then the remaining creatures had to be finished.
Talking about how they shot The Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) says that instead of dragons, balls were used on sticks, and then brooms wrapped in green cloth. She had to interact with these soulless objects, but despite the giggles of the members of the filming process, Emilia managed to convince the viewer that everything was real. The viewer believed that the Mother of Dragons gently communicates with her winged "children."
The role of one mammoth, or rather its legs, had to be performed simultaneously by four actors. They dragged on themselves a fake building, which in the process of post-production turned into a fierce beast.
Wall

From a scene in which hundreds of lightly armed people confidently crawl up vertical ice with virtually no insurance, the blood just freezes. It’s not worth worrying: all the fallen were painted, and the actors were unlikely to even get scared, because the Wall on the set was not vertical, but horizontal. In fact, they just crawled forward. By the way, neither sharp nor cold ice was either. It was made of foam.
Weather
Many northern scenes were filmed in Ireland. The weather in those parts does not pamper, and drawing it is not so easy. The film crew and artists often had to hide from the rain in anticipation of the sun.
Of course, this is far from all the secrets of the series that many people love. Spectators highly appreciate the work of professionals, assuring that the characters came out alive and vibrant, the scenery amazes with its sophistication and beauty, and the costumes are admired. Today, those who are waiting for the completion of the story of the wars of the Seven Kingdoms, when asked about how many seasons of the “Game of Thrones” have taken, dream of hearing the answer: “All eight!”.
