A fabulous story about a wild or cultivated plant will be at your disposal soon. Similar texts in the literature are called myths or legends. The literary tradition of Japan is rich in such things. The basis can be taken the eastern myth of chrysanthemum. The Chinese say that if you want to be happy, then in your garden a chrysanthemum must certainly grow.
In a special way in Japan, 4 plants are revered; they are classified as noble: chrysanthemum, sakura, bamboo and orchid. All of them symbolize human qualities, such as friendship, honesty, youth and courage. And, accordingly, each of these plants symbolizes 4 seasons. It’s not worth listing them, everyone already knows. Ancient oriental poets in their poems or traditions sang these plants, marveling at their beauty.
History No. 1 - About Chrysanthemum
Our legend says about a flower named Chrysanthemum. People of the East call it the flower of the White Dragon. Once this evil and bloodthirsty monster decided to bring people another misfortune. The thought came to his white scaly head: could the Sun be stolen from these miserable people? Without him, they will die of fear, horror and hunger!

The White Terrible Dragon miscalculated, because the prey was not within his strength and teeth! The monster jumped up, flapped its wings, and rose high into heaven. The rays of the sun burned his scales, and he eagerly with his clawed legs tore the body of the luminary. Hot and luminous sparks scattered in different directions, cooling, in the fall they turned into flowers of Chrysanthemum. And they paved the city streets, village paths, gardens and parks ... So the Great Sun endowed a man with this flower, since then the emblem of Japan began to depict this beautiful flower, as well as on coins and various seals. Wise Japanese add flowers of this plant to salads and even to pastries!
History No. 2 - About Nettles
Nettle bush grew in one village. Whoever came up to her — she stung and burned everyone! The people began to bypass it. And she was filled with bitter tears from resentment. The boys said that in the neighboring village the old grandfather tore his grandson with such a bush for robbery.
But one day everything changed. A woman-herbalist came out of the dense forest, she asked the villagers if a burning bush was growing here? They laughed in response, but indicated the direction with their hand. The herbalist came to the place, looked around and said: “Ah, how fresh and juicy! Aw, how useful! ” The old women ran away, their eyes on their foreheads climbed out, their envy reduced their teeth with envy! They shout at her: “Do not meddle, you stupid, stinging you nettles! ..” And the herbalist only laughed in response to them and went into her hut deep into the forest.
