Not so long ago, just a little over three years ago (February 4, 2013), Channel One premiered a completely new twelve-episode film, unlike the others. Actors of the series "Rook" were already familiar to viewers from their previous works, but it was all the more interesting to see their new transformations. And despite the fact that the picture was shot based on the French television movie (and there is an opinion that tapes adapted to the Russian viewer are not always successful), from the very beginning she found her niche in the hearts of a multimillion-dollar audience.

The police are conducting an operation to free the hostages. During these complex actions, Interior Ministry Major Sergei Grachev (actor Pavel Trubiner, whose films “Resort Romance”, “Just Come Back” and others were watched by hundreds of thousands of spectators) was seriously injured - a bullet in the head. Doctors failed to perform an operation to remove it. Sergei survives after clinical death. After he saw the notorious tunnel through which the dead go to the best of the worlds, his whole life changes dramatically. Grachev now sees the ghosts of dead people whose murderers were never found.

Pavel Trubiner, films with the participation of which the audience had already seen more than once, before starting filming in this series, he watched many different thrillers, which spoke about ghosts and otherworldly phenomena. He tried to figure out how to play him correctly in scenes with a character whom just was not observed in the frame. Then the actor said that it was rather strange and difficult, because during the shooting he talked to himself.
Is the captain a friend or a new love?
Although in the life of the protagonist there are more than enough all sorts of difficulties and troubles, there was only one person left next to him who takes to heart everything that happens to Sergey. In this difficult time for him, side by side with him is constantly his subordinate, beautiful captain Daria Okhlopkova. She was beautifully embodied on the screen by a young actress Svetlana Ivanova. "Rook" - This is the next work of a talented girl who is known for her roles in other equally popular series and paintings.
According to the plot of the tape, Daria really hopes that her boss will answer her love. She believes in his gift, believes that he is able to help people and unravel old unsolved cases. Some rapprochement with Sergei Grachev occurs only after the girl is captured by criminals who killed her father in the troubled nineties. In one of the episodes, the ghost of Dasha’s father comes to Sergey and asks for help to solve his murder. It is Daria, who is devoted to Grachev, and becomes his chance for a happy life.
The actress said that to work in this series, she learned to shoot Makarov with a pistol. In addition, the weapon in the frame was real.

Grachev’s boss for the series is Interior Ministry Colonel Pyotr Mikhailovich Volkov. This character was embodied on the screen by Igor Staroseltsev. The actor, who has been a distinguished artist since 2002, has been in the profession for three decades, and each of his roles is a small masterpiece. In the series, he’s the boss is quite strict, but fair and listening to the opinion of Sergei.
Another real policeman in the picture is the captain of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dmitry Kirillov. The actor Alexei Longin, who played it, is still relatively young (he turned 40 in the summer), but the quality of his game leaves a very juicy aftertaste.
Although the series is taking place these days, to shoot one of the episodes, the requisites knocked down, looking for the necessary equipment. They worked on a scene about the war. Filmmakers had to find military uniforms and equipment, so that everything was "for real." Thanks to their efforts, the film in the film turned out.
In episodes where it was necessary to shoot skirmishes, fights and races, actors were usually replaced by understudies. But Trubiner performed almost all the tricks on his own.
For actor Ivan Okhlobystin, who played in the series maniac, the most difficult was the application of makeup. Every day it took up to an hour and a half, but then the face of one of the most disgusting criminals of our time appeared to the world.
