Didier Deschamps began his football career as part of the Bayonne amateur club, which he played for as a schoolboy. Here he was spied by the Nantes scouts, appreciating the playing potential of a fifteen-year-old boy. Didier played his first top-level match on September 27, 1985. From this date, the long football career of one of the best midfielders of French and world football began.
As part of Nantes, Deschamps performed for five years. During this period, he played 111 fights, in which he scored 4 goals. But real success and recognition came to the player during his performances in the Marseille Olympic team. Two titles of the winner of the French championship and a victory in the Champions Cup - this is the beginning of the numerous team (domestic and international) tournaments won by the player.
