AIDS is the final stage of HIV (human immunodeficiency virus). According to statistics, the number of people infected worldwide is growing daily. AIDS itself does not kill a person. It causes permanent damage to our immune system. And this means that the human body can not cope with any infection, and ordinary ARVI can lead to death. How this disease develops, and what are the symptoms of AIDS in men and women, we will consider in this article.
What is HIV and why does it turn into AIDS?
The human immunodeficiency virus is the most insidious infection, because when it enters the human body it does not cause any symptoms and signs. The only way to detect it is an HIV test. The virus can live in the body completely unnoticed for 10-12 years, while destroying the immune system. The apogee or the last stage of destruction is the vulnerability of the body and the inability to withstand even elementary microbes and infections. The symptoms of AIDS in men and women are somewhat different from each other, despite the fact that in both cases, the goal of the immunodeficiency virus is immunity. The course of the disease in women is faster, and earlier complications even with a low level of the virus. The symptoms of AIDS in men and women are opportunistic, because infections that cause an infection in an infected person are not affected by a healthy immune system. Common symptoms of AIDS include the following:

1. In the early stages of infection with the immunodeficiency virus, there is almost always a rather long-term (from 14 to 28 days) fever. The human body temperature rises significantly (up to 38-39 degrees). In general condition, there will be a suspicion of a common respiratory disease. However, the medications that are used in the treatment of these will be absolutely useless.
2. A constant headache feels similar to pain with a cold.
3. The appearance of a rash on a man’s body occurs about a month or a half after infection.
Rashes can be on any part of the body. Similar symptoms of AIDS in men (photo on the left) may appear for a while, and then disappear without a trace.
4. Increased fatigue, decreased or complete
lack of appetite, weight loss. All of the above factors, many people are accustomed to attribute to lack of sleep, depression, heavy loads and so on.
5. Frequent illnesses. If a man replaces another disease for several months, then it's time to consult a doctor - these may be symptoms of AIDS in men.
6. Swollen lymph nodes can occur anywhere in the body. Painful sensations are completely absent.
