She became a long-awaited child in an acting family. All parishioners of the temple, located on the territory of Mosfilm, headed by priests Father Sergius and Father Nikolai, prayed to the Blessed Virgin Mary for a long time to give the child to Sergey Makhovikov and Larisa Shakhvorostova.
When the time came for the birth of the daughters of Sergey and Larisa, again the whole parish (two hundred people) prayed for them. This event touched the acting couple so much that they named their daughter Alexandra, in honor of Saint Alexandra, the patroness of their church. Now the actors are deeply religious people.
