Back in the middle of the 20th century, it became fashionable to adhere to generally accepted standards of the human figure. There were parameters of an ideal female model - 90/60/90. However, due to their genetic and physical characteristics, not girls and women are the owners of such forms.
Due to the fact that the female sex began to strive for these indicators, it became necessary to calculate ideal weight as the main indicator of physical perfection. It serves as the main target for individuals who want to correct their figure. Naturally, there are people who do not need to strive to have ideal weight, as they are genetically folded so that they correspond to the specified parameters. However, there are those who want to have ideal weight, and this is not even a matter of subjective opinions, it has simply been proved by science that it is physically easier for people with moderate weight to live.
How to calculate the ideal weight? You can use the generally accepted universal formula, as well as use the calculation methods of some scientists. The first formula is accessible and understandable, but it does not take into account a number of factors, such as body structure (physique), age, and others that affect ideal weight. It can be calculated according to the general rule as follows: one hundred centimeters is subtracted from growth, the result obtained is the ideal weight for a particular person. For example, 173-100 = 73 (kg). Some deductions are also made: for women another -15% of the result, and for men -10%. In the same example: 10% of 73 will be 7.3, so the ideal weight for a man with a height of 173 cm will be: 173-100-7.3, which is approximately 66 kilograms. Of course, this is all pretty arbitrary, because if you calculate the ideal weight using this formula, the result will not take into account a number of important features.
One of the more advanced formulas for calculating the ideal weight was proposed by Paul Brock, an anthropologist from France. According to his theory, a growth of less than 165 cm is accompanied by a coefficient of 100. Next, 165-175 cm - growth - 105, and more than 175 centimeters - 110. The age is taken into account: for people aged 20-40 years, the ideal weight should be reduced by about 11%, and for persons over 50 - increase by 6%. Then it takes into account belonging to one of the three types of physique, which is calculated by the length of the circumference of the working arm. Accordingly: the first type - girth less than 16 cm for women and less than 17 cm for men, the second - 17-20 cm, the third - more than 20 cm. Naturally, to calculate the ideal weight, the first type needs to be reduced by 10%, and for the third - increase by 10%.

There are many more simple and complete formulas designed to help those who want to calculate the ideal weight. But before you take on the calculator, you must first weigh many factors. First of all, itβs your own health. After all, if weight in no way interferes with a full life, then you do not need to change anything in yourself. Secondly, you never need to envy models with a perfect figure and immediately buy the advertised drugs. Also, do not listen to any categorical opinions about the shortcomings of your figure and acquire complexes about this. However, you must remember a
healthy lifestyle. Know that often imperfect people invented the mentioned formulas, which often have no rational explanation.
