Kostolevsky was one of the best graduates of GITIS, and he was expected in many theaters of the capital. The actor chose the Mayakovsky Academic Theater (artistic director - Andrei Goncharov). The young rebel was not used to the screams of the director and at first he played shyly. But subsequently everything worked out. At first on stage, he looked a little tired. Later, getting used to the traditions and rules prevailing here, he even complained about a small number of roles.

Kostolevsky’s debut role in the film industry happened in the family drama “Family as a Family”. A little later, work on the film "Star of captivating happiness" burst into his creative biography, which gave him the role of a romantic hero.
