The manga, or, as the Koreans call it, the manhwa, tells the story of an ordinary girl whose life was destroyed by superstition. In the small village where So A lived (that was the name of the girl), it had not rained for a very long time. The dry season could jeopardize all villagers who might die of starvation. To appease the god of water and stop the torment of the whole village, the residents decide to make a sacrifice to him - the beautiful girl So A. The girl was dressed in wedding attire and sent to sail on the river, where a terrible storm catches her. She miraculously manages to survive, but now she falls to the god of water, who is sad about the death of her lover. And in addition, in this new world, So Aprid will have to understand the gods.
Dorama
The plot of the drama "The Bride of the God of Water", borrowed from the manga, was redesigned by a team of scriptwriters and producers almost beyond recognition. The genre of the tape can be called romantic and fantasy. But you should not expect a lot of special effects and graphics from the series. This is still more of a romantic story.
The series begins with a conversation between a little blind girl and a priest. They talk about the gods and their power. According to legend, the world consists of several kingdoms: water, earth and heaven. Each of these kingdoms has its own deities. After which the monk tells the girl the story that the gods are fighting for the throne, and now the moment has come. With such a strange introduction, the series “The Bride of the God of Water” begins. The time has come to choose the supreme god.
Further, the viewer is introduced to the main contender for the throne, Ho Beck - the patron saint of the river kingdom. God lives under water, and it is he who is destined to become emperor in the world of the Almighty, but everything turns for him not in the most favorable way. Indeed, in order to become a master, he needs to go to the world of people and find stones of power. To help him give the usual mortal girl So A. She lives in her world and does not believe in gods.
At first, So A decides that the unknown god of water is an ordinary madman, with whom she has to deal with every day. Moreover, they get acquainted in very strange circumstances. With A, wanting to admire the stars, he sits on a bench, but in the big city the stars are not visible. Then she suddenly faints, and the god of water appears before her. Absolutely Naked! Of course, Co A doesn’t remember any of this, nor does he remember where her robe seized by the deity went.
The next time they meet at Kang Van Dong, where Ho Beck tells So A that she should serve him. The girl decides that the young man just went crazy, and tries to get rid of him as soon as possible. However, the persistent god continues to pursue her.

As a true god and a descendant of the gods, he perceives people as his property. At the same time, he absolutely does not understand how to behave in the earthly world: he washes on the roof, lives in an inflatable house, does not know hunger, drives a car without rights ... In addition to everything, Ho Beck lost his strength and became one of the mortals. His gift returns to him only when danger threatens his servant. I must say that Ho Beck possesses not only useful skills, but also many rather strange skills, for example, he rides quite well on a skateboard, revives flowers or drives a super-fast car.
He needs help to find the stones. And for her, he turns to a girl named So A, who became a servant of the gods after the gods gave life to her distant ancestor, asking in return for the service of all his kind to higher powers.
Servant Co A
The role of Yoon Seo A was embodied by the Son Se Ken - prima among the actors of the "Bride of the God of Water." In the drama, Co A is a modern girl, works as a psychiatrist and has achieved certain successes in this field. However, now her clinic is experiencing significant financial difficulties: she has an unbearable loan, and even a lot of debts. So A desperately wants to get rich and get his Jolly Doctor clinic out of this money bondage.
It is to her that the god of water turns for help. Clear business, the girl perceives him as the next madman who imagines himself to be a deity. And often offers him treatment in his clinic. At the same time, the Co A family has been serving the gods for a long time. However, the girl does not really believe in all sorts of myths. And even more so in the god of water!
As will become known later, Co A is not just a servant, but a priestess. Of course, she did not just become a servant of the gods. This is not a gift, but a curse of the kind. Once upon a time, a certain ancestor of So A was very guilty before the gods, for which he was punished by the supreme deity and sentenced to life service. But this was not enough! His whole family must forever serve the gods and fulfill all their whims.
Servant Nam Soo Ri
Servant of the god of water. A little ridiculous at first glance. According to Ho Beck, Su Ri is a former fish. Everywhere he goes after his master, often helps him out, talks about the world of people and helps in difficult situations. Familiar with other gods of the pantheon.
Goddess Mu Ra
Another actor of the “Bride of the God of Water”, or rather, the actress, is Crystal John. The girl played the role of the ruler of the stones of the gods Mu Ra. For the first time, a drama viewer gets to know her on the set of a commercial. In the human world, she is a model of He Ra. The girl is very beautiful and wayward. The men next to her lose consciousness and become stiff. However, it is paradoxical that Mu Ra is not able to kiss. So, when Ho Beck turns to her for help, Mu Ra pushes him away. She has completely different plans for stones. Ultimately, in exchange for a stone, she asks Ho Beck, who has lost his grace, to become her bodyguard. The search for stones ends unexpectedly: Ho Beck finds out that the stone is simply lost.
God pi rem
God of the air kingdom. This becomes clear from the first moment, as the acquaintance with Pi Rem begins in Hong Kong, on a high tower, from which the guy is going to jump. As the god of the wind, he can rise into the clouds and freely descend to the ground, disappear into the fog. The first impression of him is ambiguous. He does not like Ho Back so much that he hides his stone and agrees with Mu Ra that she, too, will not give the stone to the god of the river kingdom. In addition, he openly scoffs at So A and despises Su Ri. To the latter, he even spills wine in his face. One gets the impression that he is a real villain who wants to illegally get the throne.
On the other hand, Pi Rem is very tender and reverent towards Mu Ra and secretly in love with her for a long time, despite the fact that the girl is devoted to Ho Baek. Throughout the series, he tries to break this love triangle and become for Mu Ra the only lover.
Among the actors of The Bride of the God of Water, Gon Men, who played the role of Pi Rem, stands out not only for his talent, but also for his unusual appearance. To shoot the film, he dyed his hair in an ashen shade.
Director Shin Hu Yi
Ambiguous character. Initially, the storyline of the series inclines the viewer to the idea that he is also a god. However, not everything is as simple as it seems at first glance. Wealthy owner of the corporation, handsome and smart, and incredibly kind and generous - the standard of the ideal guy! He also claims the heart of Co A and the role of her chosen one. Throughout the drama, he makes extremely inappropriate and stupid jokes and talks about the dream to understand the world and make it better.
