Biography
Jean-Claude Briali is a native of Algeria, the city of Omal. His father worked as a senior officer. After the end of the service, the Claude family moved to Angers, located in the western territory of France. When he was still a schoolboy, the future celebrity first felt like an artist. Unfortunately, Jean's father did not share the desire of his child and wanted to see his son in the image of a military man.
In 1946, Claude nevertheless entered the military school, but after a while he dropped out for the sake of the University of Drama and Arts. Then the actor played in various productions. In 1954, Briali enters the army, where he becomes a cinematographer, and in the same year his first short film comes out.
In November 1954, Jean leaves Germany and goes to Paris despite the fact that his parents are categorically opposed to his career. In the capital of France, the artist begins his acting career, appearing in various films, and after a few years gains fame. Due to the fact that the actor was attractive, films with Jean-Claude Brialy were very popular among women. He appears in such legendary films as “Woman is woman” and “The bride was in black”. With the director of the second film mentioned above - Francois Truffaut, the actor was on friendly terms, and in 1968 was present at his wedding.
