Poultry farming is one of the main industries in the Russian Federation. Every day, most of our compatriots buy chicken meat. Why? The answer is simple. This is because it is one of the cheapest types of meat products at the moment, one of the most healthy, protein-rich and quick-cooked foods.
In the article below we will analyze which Russian poultry farms currently exist, which of them are in the top largest in terms of turnover and where they are located. And also a little talk about each of them.
General information
In Russia there are a lot of enterprises with this kind of profile. But only 5 plants have a truly gigantic scale of production. These are Oka, Yaroslavl, Sinyavinskaya, "Severnaya", Magnitogorsk poultry farm. Each of them has its own history, traditions and customs. We will analyze them in our review.
Oka poultry farm
The first one we will look at will be this particular factory. It is one of the largest in Russia and the largest poultry enterprise in the Ryazan region. Its complex includes a grain farm, a feed mill and a poultry producer.
The plant began operations in 1972 at the initiative of Sidorenko Vasily Andreevich. In 1973, a significant event for the factory occurred - the first 12 thousand chickens hatched.
Since production was developing, it was decided to combine several agricultural enterprises of the Ryazan region. The structure of Okskaya included two poultry farms: Rybnovskaya and Gorodskaya, Aleksandrovsky poultry producer and Denezhnikovsky feed mill.
As a result of these manipulations, the Oka poultry farm was able to control the complete production cycle, starting with the production of feed and ending with the finished product.
The main market are the nearest areas and cities. Among the regular customers are Moscow and the Moscow region, and, of course, the Ryazan region. It was possible not only to establish sales in small retail outlets, but also to sign contracts with giants of Russian supermarket chains, such as Metro, Auchan, Magnit, and so on.
At the moment, there are high rates of egg laying in the enterprise - about 1,300,000 eggs per day. But every year the turnover becomes more and more. So, in 2001, only 350,000 eggs were produced.
The percentage of profit from eggs in the company is 83.3%, grain production - 4%, and poultry meat - 12%.
The company uses the proceeds to provide financial support to schools and kindergartens. In the village of Oksky, a sports hall was renovated and restored. For example, after a hard day's work, anyone can go in and practice using modern simulators.
Magnitogorsk Poultry Complex
Another largest poultry farm in Russia. The company was founded in 1999. Like the enterprise described above, it has a full range of production. Three sectors of production: broiler, egg and sausage.
The year 2007 was marked for the enterprise by the fact that it was included in the 50 best-performing Russian enterprises AGRO-300. Also, the complex was included in the list of poultry farms in Russia for the largest production of poultry meat.
As for the egg sector, the plant produces many types of products: "Derevenskoye", "Vitamin", "Sunny Day", "Iodized" and others. Namely, the name “Derevenskoye” egg in the same 2007 received the honorary title - “100 best goods of Russia”.
The factory was well spent for the production of broiler chickens. In order to maintain modern product standards, the workshop was equipped with German Farmer Automatics devices. The plant is not only engaged in the processing of broilers, but also prepares semi-finished products, which directly fall on the shelves of supermarkets.
Magnitogorsk plant is one of the few that launched the sausage shop. June 1, 2006 is a very important date for the plant. On this day, launched the production of new products. The main ingredients are poultry, beef and pork.
"Yaroslavl broiler"
80% of the supply of poultry meat in the region is carried out by this enterprise. Undoubtedly, it is included in the list of poultry farms in Russia due to the largest turnover. Founded in 1982, the Yaroslavl Poultry Plant produces about 30 thousand tons of broiler chickens per year. Like the Oka poultry farm, it is a closed-cycle enterprise. It includes the following workshops: fodder procurement, incubation workshop, chicken breeding workshop, slaughtering and processing workshop, as well as transport service. The joint stock company has its own registered supermarkets and shops.
Over the years 2006-2011, the company has been awarded honorary medals and diplomas more than once. At the annual Golden Autumn agricultural exhibition and the Meat Industry forum, it received seven gold, six silver and one bronze medals.
North poultry farm
This company has Russian-Dutch roots, as part of the company's shares belong to the owner from the Netherlands. This is the largest poultry farm in Russia in the Northwest.
In 1997, an unknown person named Geysbertus van den Brink bought a poultry plant, which was already on the verge of bankruptcy. In addition, the Agro-Invest Brinki holding owns the Voyskovitsy and Lomonosovskaya poultry farms.
In 2014, the company was recognized as one of the largest poultry producers at the moment. In 2015, the North Factory has a new owner - the Thai agricultural holding Charun Pukphand Foods.
In 2007, the broiler production output figure was 80 thousand tons. The record for the production of poultry meat was set in 2014, when the figure of 171,000 tons of broilers was announced. At that time, it amounted to 5% of the total poultry production in Russia.
Sinyavinsky poultry plant
This factory takes its beginnings in 1978, and its origins come from the Leningrad Region. This company provides a third of the poultry market in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region as a whole. The general director is Koldoenko Arthur Mikhailovich.
One of the largest egg producing companies in Europe. An incredible amount - approximately 600 million per year - is produced at this enterprise.
The plant consists of three parts: the Sinyavinskaya poultry farm itself, the Naziya breeding farm, and the Volkhov feed mill.
After the reconstruction and modernization of the factory, which lasted from 2006 to 2014, the daily turnover of goods increased to 3.5 million eggs. This year, the factory plans to set a world record and break the mark of 1.5 billion eggs per year.
In the near future - the construction of four more sectors, the reconstruction of slaughter and tractor workshops.
This was a list of the currently functioning and largest poultry farms in Russia. It is easy to see that every year the food industry in the country is growing, and mass consumption of food is growing. Poultry meat has always been and will be popular, regardless of time and place.
