Vaccination of a child is a preventive measure aimed at the formation of immunity from certain infectious diseases. For the first time, it began to be carried out only about a century ago, but now thanks to it it has been possible to significantly reduce the incidence of many dangerous ailments.
Among the main victories of vaccination can be noted the fact that such a disease as smallpox, today in the human population does not occur. Previously, such an ailment claimed the lives of a huge number of people.
To do or not to do?
Just a few decades ago, young parents did not even have a question about whether the child should be vaccinated. Now a fairly large number of fathers and mothers decide to abandon all vaccinations. To a large extent this is facilitated by the media, telling about how someone suffered from vaccination. It is fair to say that after vaccination, a person, and especially a child, may feel bad for some time. In addition, allergic reactions may occur to certain vaccine components. In the vast majority of cases, all these side effects have a very low severity. Serious complications can be observed in those people who were vaccinated while they were having an active inflammatory process.
Contraindications
Vaccination of a child should be carried out only if he did not have a pronounced allergic reaction to similar vaccinations. In addition, as already noted above, vaccination should not be carried out in cases where the baby has an active inflammatory process in the body or an exacerbation of a chronic disease is observed. Moreover, most often the child is not vaccinated up to 1.5 weeks after recovery.
Where and when is vaccination given?
Children several days old are vaccinated directly in the hospital. In the future, this function falls on the pediatric clinic or the vaccination center for children. It is worth noting that in the first case, the kids will be given a domestic drug. As for specialized centers, here parents have the opportunity to take advantage of the achievements of foreign pharmaceuticals, but this service is paid.

Vaccination of children is carried out according to a certain plan - the vaccination calendar. According to him, after birth, the hepatitis B vaccine is administered to babies during the first day. A vaccine against tuberculosis is given on days 3-7 . The next time the child is vaccinated when he is 1 month old (second hepatitis B vaccine). After that, take a break for 2 months. Then 3 vaccinations are performed sequentially immediately against 4 infections (whooping cough, polio, tetanus and diphtheria) - on the 3rd, 4th or 5th, as well as the 6th month of life. Later, at the age of 1.5 years, this vaccine is repeated. Before this, 2 more vaccinations occur. At 6 months, the child is given the 3rd vaccination against hepatitis B, and at the age of 1 year he must be vaccinated against rubella, mumps, and measles.
