First steps in sports

After winning the youth championship of Russia, eight people from Angarsk were invited to the Avtomobilist team. But during a stop in Omsk, representatives of the local team entered the train and offered to stay. The guys agreed and decided to try. At the age of 17, Berdnikov Sergey entered the university and played for the local institute. Apart from this, he also continued to play for the local teenage team. He perfectly understood that to the level of a professional team of the major league he still needed to gain mastery.
Professional career
At that time, a professional team was being created in Angarsk, which will play in the second league of the Russian hockey championship. Her head coach was appointed Stanislav Gidrovich. The first coach of Berdnikov, who taught him the basics of hockey. After the appointment, he returned the young stars of Angarsk back home and gave them a lot of playing time on ice. For a good game, Berdnikov Sergey was invited to Magnitogorsk, but for a long time he did not stay there. Omsk “Vanguard” became interested in him and invited him to his place. At first, Berdnikov played in the fourth link, but then quickly went up. In Omsk, Sergey spent nine seasons. After the change of head coach, he also left the club. After playing in the Yaroslavl Torpedo, Sergei decided to return to Omsk. But, without finishing the season, he moved to Severstal.
End of career and transition to coaching
Sergey spent his last seasons in Novokuznetsk. He played, despite his age, not bad at all. Sergey Berdnikov is a hockey player who has left his mark on the history of hockey. Especially Omsk, where he spent a huge number of matches and scored many goals. Having finished his career, Sergey became an assistant coach in Novokuznetsk. Then he moved to Severstal. There, the coaches had the task of entering the playoffs. But they did not cope with such a task, and with Sergey did not extend the contract. Then Sergey Berdnikov again returned to his native Omsk.
