The article talks about what rain is (in a scientific style), why this process is important for all of us, and what types of rain do exist.
Start
Everyone has long been accustomed to various natural phenomena, and the times when a solar eclipse, too cold winters or hot summers were accepted by people as a divine punishment or sign, fortunately, have long passed. Nevertheless, it is not worth condemning our ancestors for such ignorance: in a situation where there is no way to personally figure out something, it is natural for a person to ascribe some mystical meaning to what is happening.
So what is rain (scientific style)? This we will understand. But for starters, we simply refresh the knowledge about the water cycle in nature, which was discussed in the elementary grades of the school.
The cycle
In fact, it is water, or rather, its liquid state, that we all owe to life. For example, on the same Venus there is also water, but in the form of steam, of which the clouds consist. They are increasingly strengthening the greenhouse effect on the surface of the planet.
On our planet, things are somewhat different. Water evaporates, condenses and again falls to the surface. So what is rain?
In a scientific style, rain is atmospheric precipitation that falls on the surface of the earth in the form of liquid droplets. Their average diameter varies in the range from 0.5 to 6-7 mm. If their size is even smaller, it is considered a drizzle.
In the process of evaporation of the liquid by the sun or its weathering, the drops pass into a gaseous state and rise into the atmosphere, where after some time they condense, after which the liquid returns to the ground. So now we know what rain is (in a scientific style).
Seasonal rains
Some corners of our planet are very interesting for their weather phenomena, for example, in a number of equatorial countries there is the so-called rainy season, and there rainfall can go on for up to six months, and then again a very hot and humid period begins.
Acid rain
This phenomenon is not so common, but it still occurs. Of course, acid will not pour from the sky, as you might think, no. But the acid balance of the liquid in this case is greatly disturbed, and walking in such a rain, to put it mildly, is not recommended. Plants suffer from it. This happens mainly due to environmental pollution of water bodies.
So we made out the scientific description of rain. This weather phenomenon is very important for the continuation of all biological life on our planet.
