Plot
The film "At War as at War", whose actors brilliantly embodied the images of Soviet soldiers on the screen, is dedicated to the last years of the liberation of Soviet territory. In the center of history is the everyday life of the crew of a self-propelled gun under the command of Junior Lieutenant Maleshkin. He is very inexperienced, and he has to work hard and try to win the love and trust of his subordinates and direct bosses. His commanders are not entirely satisfied with him, and his colleagues did not immediately see his commander in him, since he is still very young. Nevertheless, it was Maleshkin who, at a critical moment, takes a hit on himself and courageously repulses the enemy’s attack. The plot was based on real events related to the battles waged by the tank army of Marshal Rybalko.
It should be noted here that there are several films with a similar plot in Soviet cinema. An example is the work of L. Bykov “Aty-bats were soldiers”, where the main character performed by V. Konkin also had to overcome many difficulties to gain the respect of his colleagues. This is due to the fact that during the war years many educated young people had to take command of the units and gain experience directly in the course of hostilities.
