The jurisdiction of magistrates courts, taking into account their location in Moscow, is regulated by a separate legal act. What are its main points? Based on what geographical landmarks, it is necessary to determine which regional institution this or that world judicial section belongs to?
General information on sections of world courts
Before studying the information on the sections of the magistrates' courts that operate in Moscow, consider the general information on the respective territories.
The main source of law of the Russian Federation that regulates education is Federal Law No. 188 “On Magistrates Courts”. In accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Federal Law No. 188, justices of the peace should work precisely within the respective sections. Moreover, the total number of judges and polling stations in a specific region of the Russian Federation is set at the level of federal law, taking into account the legislative initiative of the authorities of the relevant subject, which is consistent with the RF Armed Forces. Or, in turn, at the initiative of the RF Armed Forces, which is consistent with the region.
World judicial plots are created and abolished in accordance with regional legislation. At the level of federal law, a rule has been established according to which one site should function in the territory where 15 to 30 thousand people live. At the same time, if less than 15 thousand people live in the municipality, then 1 site should be formed in it. In the event that the competences of a justice of the peace are not transferred to jurisdiction at the level of another court, then its section cannot be abolished. Moreover, transfer is possible only if the first judge does not consider the relevant case.
It can be noted that only one judge with the appropriate powers can carry out activities at each particular site. Thus, the rule applies: 1 justice of the peace - judicial precinct 1. The total number of justices of the peace and divisions in a constituent entity of the Russian Federation is determined by a separate legal act - Federal Law No. 218- adopted on December 29, 1999. At the same time, the regions have a significant amount of authority in regulating the activities of magistrates' courts.
So, in Moscow there is a separate law governing the creation of judicial plots, as well as the establishment of the posts of magistrates in the Russian capital. We are talking about the Law of the city of Moscow No. 60, adopted on 10/15/2003. It determines what district courts the world judicial sections of the Moscow region belong to, and also sets the main geographical landmarks that characterize their location. Consider the main provisions of this normative act in more detail.
Law of the city of Moscow on the creation of judicial plots: jurisdiction of district courts
In accordance with the provisions of Article 1 of the Law of the city of Moscow No. 60, a scheme has been adopted in the Russian capital according to which the plots, as well as the positions of justices of the peace, are under the jurisdiction of various regional authorities. Namely, the Babushkinsky court oversees 20 polling stations and, accordingly, 20 posts of justices of the peace. The Basmanny Court has 8 jurisdictions and the same number of judges.

Law No. 60 also contains the names of the relevant magistrates in the jurisdiction of regional institutions. In fact, this legal act determines which specific world judicial plots may fall under the jurisdiction of the respective district courts of the Russian capital. It will be useful to consider which particular areas of Moscow are under the jurisdiction of specific district courts, as well as specific sections that correspond to them.
Regions and Sites in the Jurisdiction of the Babushkinsky Court
The Grandmother's Court of Moscow oversees the following areas: Sviblovo, Yaroslavsky, Southern and Northern Medvedkovo, Losinoostrovsky, Babushkinsky. The jurisdiction of this court includes world judicial districts with numbers: 308, 309, 317-332, 385, as well as 386. A particular district administers justice in a certain territory.
Neighborhoods and Sites in the Basmanny Court
Moscow Basmanny Court oversees the eponymous district of the Russian capital. The world judicial sections are represented in it, as we already know, in a small number - there are only 8. In particular, those that have numbers 359-362, as well as 387-390. Each precinct corresponds to 1 position of justice of the peace.
Regions and sections in the jurisdiction of the Butyr court
Butyrsky court of Moscow administers justice in the areas: Severny, Lianozovo, Bibirevo, Altufevo. Otradnoe. The jurisdiction of this court includes the following world judicial sections of Moscow: 79-95, 158, 159, 391, as well as 392. Thus, a total of 21 judicial sections operate in the relevant areas.
Areas and sections of the Gagarin court
The Gagarin court of the capital is responsible for the consideration of cases in the territories of the districts: Obruchevsky, Lomonosov, Gagarinsky, and Academic. In total, this court oversees 14 sections: 211-222, 393, as well as 394. Moscow City Law No. 60 establishes a similar number of magistrate posts. If we talk about the geographical landmarks of judicial plots that are within the jurisdiction of the Gagarinsky court, it can be noted that some of them focus on a separate avenue - Leninsky. The Magistrate's Court, which, for example, operates on site No. 211, passes along the axes of the specified prospectus. Sites No. 212 and 393 have similar landmarks. A certain world judicial section of the Leninsky district is being formed - the territory adjacent to Leninsky Prospekt.
Golovinsky court
The Golovinsky court of the Russian capital is responsible for ensuring justice in the territories of the regions: Molzhaninovsky, Left Bank, Khovrino, Golovinsky, Voikovsky. In total, 11 sites operate in these territories: 65-76. The number of judges is similar.
Dorogomilovsky court
The considered district court provides justice in the territories of the following regions of the Russian capital: Fili-Davydkovo, Dorogomilovo, Filevsky park. In total, there are 10 judicial sections in the jurisdiction of the Dorogomilovsky District Court in accordance with the provisions of the Law of the City of Moscow No. 60. These are sections 190-193, 206-210, as well as 395. Similarly, 10 judicial posts are established in these areas.
Zamoskvoretsky court
In the jurisdiction of the Zamoskvoretsky district court of the Russian capital are the territories of the districts: Yakimanka, Zamoskvorechye. These judicial districts of justices of the peace include sections: 100-102, 397-399. In total, therefore, in these areas 6 plots and a similar number of judges have been established.
Zelenograd
The considered district court oversees the following areas of the Russian capital: Matushkino-Savelki, Panfilovsky, Kryukovo. In total, there are 11 sections in the jurisdiction of the Zelenograd court: 1–9, 74, as well as 400. In these territories 11 posts of judges representing the institutions in question are established.
Zyuzino
The jurisdiction of the Zyuzinsky district court includes the following areas of the Russian capital: Kotlovka, Zyuzino, Severnoye and Yuzhny Butovo. In total, the Zyuzinsky court oversees 15 divisions: 10-20, 99, 103, 401 and 402. We already know the rule “1 magistrate - judicial precinct 1”, so it’s easy to determine that the judges in the districts that belong to the Zyuzinsky court also 15.
Izmailovo
The considered district court administers justice in the territories of the districts: Vostochny, Sokolinaya Gora, Izmailovo, Vostochny and Severnoye Izmailovo. In total, there are 13 sections in the court’s jurisdiction (295-307) and the same number of judges.
Koptevo
The jurisdiction of the Koptevsky District Court includes the following areas of the Russian capital: Timiryazevsky, Koptevo. The court oversees 8 sections: 333-335, 355, 356, 403, as well as 404, in which 8 posts of judges are established.
The Koptevsky court extends jurisdiction to territories that, in particular, border on the right of way of the October Railway. So, the judicial section No. 333 is oriented towards the corresponding infrastructure object. In addition, the section No. 68, which belongs to the jurisdiction of the Khovrinsky court, also borders on the right of way of this railway. It turns out that this district - let's call it Oktyabrsky - the world court oversees several parties at once.
Of course, such district classifications will be unofficial. But it can be convenient for determining the correct jurisdiction of a given site based on the geographical landmarks given in Law No. 60. Thus, having determined the world judicial section of the Oktyabrsky District in his unofficial classification, the lawyer should not be mistaken when starting official correspondence with the relevant court , which is officially named differently.
Kuzminki
The Kuzminsky district court exercises its powers in the areas of the following regions: Ryazan, Kuzminki, Vykhino-Zhulebino, Nekrasovka, Tekstilshchiki. In total, 18 world judicial precincts operate in the territories of these regions: 122-137, 249, 250, as well as 251. As many as judges.
Kuntsevo
The court in question oversees the following areas of the Russian capital: Mozhaysky, Kuntsevo, Krylatskoye. In total, there are 13 sections in the jurisdiction of the Kuntsevsky court: 194-205. The posts of judges are established in the respective territories in the same number.
Lefortovo
In the jurisdiction of the Lefortovo court there are areas: Yuzhnoportovy, Nizhny Novgorod, Lefortovo. In total, there are 8 world judicial precincts operating in these regions: 267-273, as well as 406. Just as many judicial posts are established here.
Lublin
The court in question oversees the following areas of the Russian capital: Pechatniki, Maryino, Lyublino, Kapotnya. In the territory which is under the jurisdiction of the Lublin court, there are 16 sections: 252-266, as well as 407. Accordingly, 16 judicial posts have been established.
Petty bourgeois court
The considered district court oversees areas: Krasnoselsky, Meshchansky. In total, 8 sites have been established here: 381-384, 409-411. Similarly, 8 judges have been established. If we talk about the remarkable landmarks of sites located on the territory under the jurisdiction of the Meshchansky court, then one of those can be called the street of the Soviet Army. It is guided, in particular, by plot No. 411. This area can be conditionally named as Soviet. The Magistrates' Court in these territories can thus be found using the appropriate geographical information.
Nagatino
This institution is responsible for the administration of justice in the following areas: Moskvorechye-Saburovo, Tsaritsyno, Biryulyovo Vostochny, Orekhovo-Borisovo Severnoye and Yuzhny, Brateevo, Zyablikovo. In the jurisdiction of the Nagatinsky court there are 28 sections: 23-47, 106, 107, as well as 114. The same number of judges.
Nikulinsky court
The district court in question ensures the administration of justice in the following areas: Ramenki, Vernadsky Prospect, Ochakovo-Matveevskoye, Troparevo-Nikulino. In total, 13 sites are located in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Nikulinsky court: 177-189. A similar number approved the posts of judges. By the way, with some of the sites that are under the jurisdiction of the Nikulinsky court, one of the conditional areas of the court sections examined above is bordered by Leninsky. The Magistrate’s Court on site No. 182, for example, has a landmark - the axis of Leninsky Prospekt.
Ostankino
The court in question oversees the following areas of the Russian capital: Marfino, Butyrsky, Rostokino, Ostankinsky, Maryina Roshcha, Alekseevsky. 13 sites work here: 96-98, 310-316, 412-414. The same number of judges. It can be noted that one of the landmark sites located in the jurisdiction of the Ostankino court is ul. Soviet army. Thus, they can also be included in the Soviet district. The Magistrate’s Court, it turns out, and in this case, decides on justice in the relevant territory, distributing powers in its individual parts.
Perovo
The Perovsky court is responsible for the administration of justice in the areas: Kosino-Ukhtomsky, Novokosino, Veshnyaki, Ivanovo, Novogireevo, Perovo. There are 22 sections in the respective territories: 274-294, as well as 415. As many as judges.
Preobrazhensky court
The Preobrazhensky District Court oversees the following areas of the capital: Sokolniki, Bogorodskoye, Preobrazhenskoye, Metrogorodok, Golyanovo. In total, 15 sites operate in the territory of these regions: 104-121. A similar number of judges.
Presnensky court
The considered district court administers justice in the territories of the districts: Arbat, Presnensky. There are 9 sites: 375-380, 416-418. The same number of judges.
Savelovsky court
The Savelovsky District Court oversees the following areas of the Russian capital: Sokol, Khoroshevsky, Savelovsky, Begovoy, Airport. In total, 13 sections work in the territory of these regions: 77, 78, 345-353, 419, as well as 420. The same number are judges.
Simonovsky court
The considered district court oversees the following areas: Nagatino-Sadovniki, Nagatinsky Zaton, Donskoy, Danilovsky. There are 11 sites in the respective territories: 21, 22, 240-248. There are also 11 judges.
Solntsevo
The Solntsevsky District Court is responsible for the administration of justice in the areas: Vnukovo, Novo-Peredelkino, Solntsevo. In total, 9 sections work here: 138-145, as well as 421. As many judges are established here.
Tagansky court
The considered district court oversees the district of the same name in Moscow. There are 5 sections in the corresponding territory: 371-374, as well as 422. As many as judges.
Tver court
Tverskoy District Court is responsible for the administration of justice in the eponymous district of the Russian capital. There are 5 sections working here: 367-370, as well as 423. As many as judges.
Timiryazevsky court
The considered district court oversees the following areas of Moscow: Dmitrovsky, East and West Degunino, Beskudnikovsky. Here 12 world judicial districts have been established: 336-344, 357, 358, as well as 424. As many as judges.
Tushino
Tushinsky District Court oversees the areas: Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo, Northern and Southern Tushino, Kurkino, Mitino. In total, 17 sites operate in the territory of these regions: 160-176. The same number of judges.
Khamovniki
The district court in question is responsible for administering justice in the Khamovniki region. In total, 5 sections work here: 363-366, as well as 425. The same number of judges are established.
Khoroshevsky court
The Khoroshevsky court is responsible for the administration of justice in the following areas of Moscow: Strogino, Schukino, Khoroshevo-Mnevniki. In total 15 sites were established here: 146-157, 426-428. The same number of judges.
Cheryomushki
The considered district court oversees the following areas: Cheryomushki, Konkovo, Teply Stan, Yasenevo. 19 sections work here: 48-64, 129, as well as 429. The same number of judges are established here.
Chertanovsky court
If we talk about the remarkable geographical landmarks of the plots located in the territories that are under the jurisdiction of the Chertanovsky court, it can be noted that some of them focus on Kirovogradskaya Street and Kirovogradsky Prospekt. This area - let's call it Kirovsky - the world court also oversees, as in the case of institutions in Koptevo, from several sides at once.
The considered district court is responsible for the administration of justice in the territories of the districts: Chertanovo South, Central, North, Nagorny, Biryulyovo West. In total, 17 sites work here: 223-239. The same number of judges.
These are the norms of Law No. 60, which established the geography of the activity of justices of the peace in Moscow. Using these or those geographical landmarks, it is possible to determine whether the address of a world judicial site available to an interested citizen is correct, whether its jurisdiction is correctly established. Along with the official classification of districts and plots, an informal approach can also be applied. It involves the allocation of conditional areas based on the geographical landmarks of certain sites. For example, the world court of the Kirov region is not officially classified by the legislation of the capital, but de facto it can be considered as corresponding to the areas located near the Kirovogradskaya street.
Of course, in official correspondence with the relevant institution, the classification that is given in regulatory legal acts should be used. You should not send letters to the world court of the Kirov region simply because, despite the possible prevalence of relevant geographical landmarks, this institution is not officially included in the classification of such instances in Moscow.
