First Aid Electric Shock

First aid for electric shock is in several stages and with extreme caution.

When you touch wires and cables that are energized, the muscles contract frantically. Therefore, there is no way to tear yourself away from the wire. To do this, disconnect the power from the cable by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuses.

During the execution of these actions, some features of this situation should be kept in mind. Together with the power of the wire, you can turn off the lighting of the room, so you need to have an additional light source.

At height, the victim may fall when the power is turned off. Therefore, you must ensure the stability of the unfortunate.

The provision of first aid for an electric shock may be dangerous in that a person, separating the injured person from the wire, may himself come under voltage. Therefore, wet or metal objects must not be used. It is necessary to arm yourself with a wooden stick or board, because the tree does not conduct electric current. In addition, the "liberator" must be in rubber gloves and galoshes. If there are no gloves, then they will be successfully replaced by dry silk or wool fabric, and you can stand on dry clothes or any object made of rubber. If the victim is dressed in dry clothes, then he can be pulled away from the cable by her. In this case, contact with metal objects must be avoided. When current flows through the victim’s body, he needs to put a board under his feet to interrupt the flow.

First aid for electric shock voltage above 1000V, you need to turn off the power or, clad in insulating gloves and bots, arm yourself with a rod or pincers that are designed for such a voltage.

The victim may lose consciousness when separated from the wire. Therefore, it is worth stocking up with ammonia, as well as feeling for the pulse and checking the person’s breathing. If a person is unconscious, then he should be put on the ground, unfasten his clothes on him, to ensure an unhindered flow of air. Then, bring ammonia and slightly sprinkle the victim's face with water. If necessary, the body needs to grind and warm.

If breathing is absent, there is a need for artificial respiration and heart massage. Breathing is stimulated by the mouth-to-mouth system or using a special apparatus.

Before performing the procedure, you need to make sure that nothing is stopping your breathing. Often, the tongue sinks or accumulates mucus. To release the victim’s oral cavity from mucus, turn his head to the side. In the presence of dentures - they should also be removed from the oral cavity.

Then, first aid for electric shock is provided by putting the victim on his back, freeing his chest from clothes and putting a roller under his back. The head is thrown back so that the chin and neck are in line. With quick preparation, you can begin to artificially stimulate breathing. Taking a deep breath, it is necessary to inhale air through the mouth into the lungs of the victim. The action should be discontinued when the chest is sufficiently expanded. Blow air no more than fifteen times per minute.

First aid for victims of electric shock is also carried out in the form of heart massage . The victim must be laid on a hard surface and sit on the side of him. Hands are laid one on top of the other on the last third of the victim’s chest. Vigorous tremors of the hands should shift the front wall of the chest by four to five centimeters to the spine. This must be done very delicately, otherwise you can break the ribs and injure internal organs.

Dynamics of movements should not exceed sixty times per minute. A massage is carried out until the pulse appears in the victim.

First aid for electric shock will be more effective if both rehabilitation methods are combined.
