"Secret materials"
The most famous UFO series is, of course, the American science fiction serial film The X-Files. He first appeared on the screens in 1993. In total, the producers filmed 10 seasons, which consisted of 208 episodes. The series was closed only in 2002.
Over the course of these seasons, the main characters remain the special agents of the FBI: Dana Scully performed by Gillian Anderson and Fox Mulder, played by David Duchovny.
Mulder is a talented detective, Sherlock Holmes of our time. However, he does not investigate murders, but paranormal incidents. He is convinced of the existence of UFOs, aliens and alien contacts with earthlings. The roots of his conviction are in deep childhood. Mulder’s sister was kidnapped by unknowns, he is sure that they were aliens who were somehow connected with the government covering them.
Mulder devotes his whole life to trying to unravel these secrets. At a certain stage, the leadership appreciated his zeal and sent him to a less popular department, which specializes in mysterious unsolved crimes.
As an assistant, he is appointed agent Scully, a medical doctor by training, who at first with great skepticism relates to hypotheses about aliens. She is trying to explain everything that is happening around him exclusively from a scientific point of view. But over time, it turns out that she is increasingly unable to refute Mulder's theory and give a scientific explanation of what has happened. As a result, the worldview of the heroine and many spectators is changing. This series about UFOs and aliens has become a cult for several generations.
Outcasts
In 2010, the popular UFO series was shot in the UK. The 8-episode film Outlaws was released.
Its creator was Ben Richards. The film takes place in 2060. Scientists discover a distant planet that is suitable for life. Most of the surviving population of the Earth is resettled there in order to start a new life, so to speak, from scratch.
On a new planet, they get a unique chance: to learn from their previous lives and not repeat the mistakes of the past. On the screen, the viewer witnesses the manifestation of various human feelings and vices. Including greed and love, passion and betrayal. And the most important thing is that an alien planet is fraught with many secrets that people have yet to comprehend. For several years, this series about space and UFOs was considered one of the best among their own kind.
"Fallen Sky"
From 2011 to 2015, the American science fiction series "Collapsed Skies" was released. Its creator and general producer was Robert Rodet. This series about UFOs talked about the invasion of aliens on Earth.
Mankind was attacked by arachnid aliens and with the help of robots that they had in service, in the shortest possible time destroyed 90% of the world's population.
Events in front of the viewer on the screen begin to unfold six months after the invasion began. The main character is a professor at Boston University Tom Mason. He is one of the few who managed to stay alive. With like-minded people, he organizes a civil militia, he himself acts as the deputy commander of the Second Massachusetts Regiment. This newly formed military unit provides the retreat of the surviving invaders from Boston. However, the main character will have to return to the city, which is under the control of the aliens, in order to find his son. And also to repulse the uninvited invaders.
The creators of the series released five seasons. In total, 52 episodes were released.
"Aliens"
Documentary series about UFOs are very popular on modern television and on the Internet. One of them was shot by Sony SCI-FI. It is called "Aliens."
This multi-part film tells the true stories of people who have met with alien life forms. Moreover, the creators of the picture have deeply studied this issue. They claim that the first encounters with the aliens took place long before our era. Since those distant times, unidentified flying objects have regularly visited the Earth , although many do not recognize this fact. The authors of the picture themselves are deeply convinced of it.
They provide fascinating facts. It turns out that in the 80s in the hands of ufologists was a unique document, which was entitled "Blue Planet". Its pages provided detailed information about the secret conspiracy of the leaders of the most respected world states. His goal was only one thing - to hide from the majority of earthlings irrefutable facts about contacts with aliens. And also the fact that for many years governments have been collaborating with alien races. Such facts were cited in the TV series “Aliens” (about UFOs, not about monsters on a spaceship).
"Doctor Who"
One of the most famous and long-running science fiction series in the world is also dedicated to the topic of aliens. The British serial "Doctor Who" tells the story of a unique traveler in time and space who calls himself Doctor. He constantly finds companions among ordinary ordinary earthlings and either saves humanity from a global catastrophe and destruction by other aliens, or goes with his assistants to distant, unexplored worlds.
The list of UFO series can be safely headed by Doctor Who. In addition, this is the longest project of this genre, which appeared on television from 1963 to the present. In recent years, interest in him is so high that the premiere series of new seasons is even broadcast in cinemas and only then released on television.
Now it is worth recognizing that Doctor Who has become an important part of the mass culture of modern Britain, and many other countries, including Russia.
It is noteworthy that, in addition to the main series, there are several branches at once. These or other characters of the project take part in them. These are the films “Torchwood”, “K-9 and Company”, “Class”, “K-9” and “The Adventures of Sarah Jane”.
Torchwood
The series "Torchwood" was shot in the UK from 2006 to 2011. A total of 4 seasons came out. This is a sci-fi picture with fantasy elements. Actions take place in Wales. In the Cardiff branch of the fictional institute, which is called - “Torchwood”, they study aliens and everything connected with them. The name of the series is not accidental. “Torchwood” is an anagram of the name of the series “Doctor Who” in English. True, unlike the mentioned project, Torchwood is not recommended for viewing by minors in many countries. This is due to the large number of frank scenes and the theme of same-sex love, which is present in many episodes of the film.
The protagonist of the series - Captain Jack Harkness - appears in several episodes of Doctor Who, becoming for a time his companion. A total of 41 fascinating episodes were released. "K-9 and company"
K-9 and Company is the only failed offshoot of Doctor Who. The project was limited only to a pilot release. He appeared on the screen in 1981. The only episode was called Girl's Best Friend. At that time, she broke all the records for popularity - she was seen by almost 8.5 million viewers, which significantly exceeded the audience of the Doctor Who series that appeared in those years. However, due to a change of leadership on BBC, the project was decided not to continue.
In 2009, the series still decided to release under the name "K-9". It was created using computer animation, there were also live shootings. It was the result of a joint work of television people in Australia and the UK.
"The Adventures of Sarah Jane"
Another popular series about aliens based on "Doctor Who" was released from 2007 to 2011. The Adventures of Sarah Jane is a science fiction film about the adventures of ex-companion Dr. Sarah, who worked as a journalist.
She was a companion of the Doctor in the 70s. Now she continued to reveal mysterious events in a separate film, in modern England.
