“Crew” is a Russian catastrophe film from the director Nikolai Lebedev, whose previous film “Legend No. 17” gained great popularity. The audience’s sympathies were divided - some liked the picture, while others compared it with the 1979 Crew, believing that the actors and roles were not so well selected for the film Crew (2016). The reviews are so ambiguous that you should independently familiarize yourself with the main characters of the film and the actors who played them.
Plot of the film
This is the story of a young and talented pilot who dreams of working in the sky. After another loss of work, Alexey Gushchin starts flying on civilian planes and learns to work in a team. The aircraft commander, co-pilot and flight attendants - it is their joint and coordinated work that ensures safety for people.
In the film "Crew", the roles and actors who perform them are of great importance. After all, it is courage and willingness to do anything for the sake of saving people that reveal the characters and show them from a completely different perspective. The natural disaster on the island forces everyone to put all his strength to the limit, and Gushchin will have to make a real feat - to lift the plane from the burning island and be able to save all passengers.
“Crew”: Roles and actors. Pilot Alexey Gushchin
The pilot Gushchin is shown to the audience very wayward - because of this, he often loses his job, and finds himself with difficulty as a second trainee pilot. During his flights, Gushchin’s moral principles are shown - it’s hard for him to put up with an unfair attitude, but also to change something is not always in his power. A difficult relationship with the co-pilot Alexandra is also undergoing constant testing. Due to the earthquake on the island, pilots have to act in a non-standard environment, not paying attention to orders. Gushchin saves people by going through all kinds of trials and breaking many rules. Although after he has to change jobs again, now Alexander is next to him.

Danila Kozlovsky, who played the role of pilot Gushchin, began his acting career in 1998, acting as a bully in the series "Simple Truths". After that, he decided to enter the theater academy, and from the second year he began to act in films regularly. On the account of Kozlovsky more than thirty films, he starred in the Hollywood film "Academy of Vampires", as well as in the commercial Chanel along with actress Kira Knightley.
Crew commander Leonid Zinchenko
Pilot Zinchenko is shown to be a strict employee who respects the rules. It is difficult for him to pass exams, as he takes only the best pilots to the team. Although Zinchenko does not like Gushchin’s quick-tempered character, he sees in him a talented pilot. The Zinchenko family has a difficult relationship - his wife is upset that he is not at home because of work, and his son Valera does not obey his parents and is behind in school. The last straw is the affair of a son with a tutor in English, after which Zinchenko decides to take his son with him on a flight. Once on a lava-flooded island, he makes a difficult choice - takes people out on a plane, leaving part of the team and his own son on a burning island. Having reunited with his son, the father understands that it is not always necessary to act according to the rules, and this changes his life.

Vladimir Mashkov, who played the pilot Zinchenko, began acting in films since 1989. Prior to that, he repeatedly changed places of study, including a theater school, from where he was kicked out for a fight. The audience praised Mashkov, so his career both in the cinema and in the theater began to develop successfully. Also Vladimir Mashkov proved himself as a director, screenwriter and producer.
Flight attendant Andrey
The young man is in love with the stewardess Victoria, she is always ready to intercede for her and protect her, but she wants to see a more courageous person next to her. On a burning island, Andrei shows true heroism - he takes people out of a fire trap, almost dying himself. And that makes Victoria change her mind and be with him.
Sergey Kempo actively played in the theater, and began acting in films only in 2009. His most popular film work was the role of hockey player Evgeni Zimin in the film "Legend No. 17".
The film "Crew": actors and roles. Pilot Alexander Kuzmin
Kuzmina works as a co-pilot, and because of her position constantly struggles with the prejudices of society that there should not be female pilots in the sky. Alexandra begins to meet with the pilot Gushchin, but their relationship ends in a serious quarrel. Gushchin is quick-tempered, and often behaves like a boy, while Alexandra has her own ideas about life partner. In a difficult situation, when human lives were at stake, she saw Gushchin in a new way, because it was his talent for flying and thinking outside the box that saved the passengers and Alexandra herself.
Agne Grudite, who embodied the pilot Kuzmin on the screen, was born in Lithuania and since childhood began to dream about the career of an actress. She worked a lot on television as a presenter, and since 2010 she began acting in films. In the film “Crew”, the roles and actors are mainly Russian, but Agne Grudite is voiced by Irina Lachina, since a Baltic accent is heard in the actress’s speech.
Stewardess Victoria
The girl likes the pilot Gushchin, although this sympathy is not reciprocal. Victoria copes with her duties well and knows how to resolve conflicts with passengers. The flight attendant Andrei is trying to look after the stewardess, but she refuses him without seeing a man in him because of his position. However, after Andrei saves people by risking his life, she sees him from the other side and confesses her sympathy.
Ekaterina Shpitsa - Russian theater and film actress. She is famous for many paintings, but the films “Metro”, “Christmas Trees 1914” and the series “Real Boys” brought her the greatest fame. The actress was married, she has a son.
Critics for the most part respond positively to the picture, noting that Lebedev was able to shoot an impressive blockbuster with the help of special effects that are actively used in the film "Crew". The roles and actors in the film are vivid and memorable, and the story itself captures and keeps the audience in suspense until the end of the picture.
