Contemporaries hold a pragmatic view in any field. Less worthless poetry and a waste of time, more specifics, and now any business begins to generate income. In a completely different way, even past generations approached the formation of the language, so they came up with the definition of โsingโ. This capacious word means the desire to somehow magnify the object of admiration, to tell about it as colorful and disinterested as possible.
In prose and poetry
Etymology is the simplest and most accessible. An explicit reference to the verb โsingโ indicates a creative approach, and the prefix indicates a desire to put on a pedestal, to perpetuate a person or object. The main interpretation of the term is divided into meanings:
The speaker means informing others about something significant, essential for the poet. Or he focuses on the artistโs attempt to capture a certain image that is accessible only to him: the mother-heroine or the selfless deed of a nurse on the battlefield.
There is no framework for use. The concept is universal, and this means that one can sing both material and abstract phenomena. As an example, fit:
- historical, lyrical heroes;
- personal and social events;
- vivid feelings, strong feelings.
The word is book and poetic, more often used in relation to the literary form. Poems or songs with solemn motives fit perfectly into the requirements. However, there will be prose to the place. Art evolved, and over time, the list of formats for expressing admiration was supplemented. Now it contains paintings, dances, as well as performances with installations and flash mobs. The key is the desire of the protesters, creators to glorify someone or something.
The perfect in the imperfect
These are not all the meanings. Additional meaning will appear when you form an imperfective verb. Since you can chant any text if you try to read it in a chant, giving the voice as much solemnity as possible. This is not always appropriate, but it helps to attract attention or highlight an important part of the story.
In everyday communication
Does the word fit the vocabulary of contemporaries? Alas, in the 21st century, โsingingโ is a relic that is relevant only on the pages of books and at the meetings of the circle of poetry lovers. There is no negative subtext in the concept, although sometimes the definition is used in an ironic manner in relation to those who try to flatter the boss or loved one with all their might. Because of what, it is better to use synonyms in everyday speech so that it does not seem to comrades that you are mocking them.
