A person’s craving for the inexplicable manifests itself from a young age. But if scientists unravel the secrets of the Universe so that teachers can give general knowledge as part of the school curriculum, then superstition is a completely different level of phenomenon. So, on the eve of exams, many schoolchildren or students begin to enchant. This is a natural attempt to win fate, to predict a bad outcome and try to avoid it by any means. But what is the essence of the phenomenon?
Historical background
In the modern world, magic is not prohibited by law, if it is not about states with a rigid theocratic system. However, scientific methods are not confirmed, and therefore ridiculed. But just a couple of hundred years ago there was a flowering of occultism. Noble gentlemen and commoners sincerely believed in the power of slander, in the power of fortune-tellers over the fate of man. When a village witch or an influential owner of a spiritualistic salon sits into a magic box, this means that two possible actions will happen now:
The term implies absolutely any magical effect. You lay out cards or peer into the coffee grounds to find out the outcome of the upcoming audit. In the morning, drip tea from a bottle bought from a gypsy near the metro. Any fortune telling or occult ritual is a fortune-telling.
Origin of the word
The term is obsolete, today it is used exclusively to create an atmosphere of mystery. After all, the concepts of “magician”, “sorcerer” and similar ones have been used too often in recent decades in the post-Soviet space. There are two versions of the occurrence:
Given the realities of the 21st century and millennia-old previous practice, the second decoding seems more reliable. And how much is such mysticism accessible to contemporaries?
The relevance of the rites
Given the inability to verify the relationship between witchcraft and incidents in real life, it is impossible to accurately indicate the effectiveness of magic. However, at the household level, everyone will be able to realize their dreams of otherworldly power.
Put a coin in your shoes to get “excellent”? You lure the "standings" with shouts and wave the book, leaning out of the window? Guessing the correct answer in the test with a pencil? To do all this is to bewitch. There is nothing wrong with trying to improve your position and increase the chances of winning. But at the same time, it’s also worth studying textbooks, working on your physical and psychological development. And this applies, of course, not only to education. Then fate will be as supportive as possible!
