History
The population of Arizona is about six and a half million people, among which the Indian group is the largest in the world, accounting for more than four percent. After the Indians, these lands were owned by the Kingdom of Spain, then Mexico.

Thus, it turned out that Arizona is the state where three distinctive cultures merged together: Native American, Spanish and English. The Indians, who previously undividedly owned all the territories, now live in reservations that make up no more than a third of all lands; in them very much recalls these immemorial times. An Indian country in the north-east of Arizona is famous for the huge and indescribable beauty of the canyon De Chelly, there is also the no less picturesque Monument Valley, numerous ruins of the Pueblo times on the lands of the Navajo tribe. Hopi Indians villages are located in remote mountainous areas, lost between steep cliffs. The mountains in the southeast are amazing and cinematically spectacular, where the last of the tribes settled down, bowing before the white conquerors - the Apaches. The name "Arizona" the state received precisely from the Indians. It is symbolic that it translates as "short spring".
