early years
Born in the capital of the Soviet Union in 1974. Valery has a brother who is also the legendary Russian hockey player.
From childhood it was clear that the life of Bure would be connected with sports. The fact is that his father was a professional swimmer. The guy dreamed of being a hockey player, and so his parents gave him to the hockey section. From the first training, he stood out from the rest of the guys. Being very young, Valery Bure showed incredible results. When he began to score a huge number of goals, the coach decided to put him on the attack. As it will become clear in many years, this will be the right decision.
The young man is engaged in a school in Moscow CSKA and dreams of playing once in the starting lineup for the army team. In 1990, the coach of the main team notices that there is a player in the junior team who can grow into a big star. In the same year they begin to let him in to the main team. Eventually Bure will hold three matches, but will not be marked by effective actions. He was only sixteen.
Moving overseas
The Soviet Union collapsed, hard times came, and it became practically impossible to play sports normally, Valery Bure also understood this. The hockey player just received a good offer from the United States of America and accepted it.
Season 1991-1992 he begins with the Spokane Chiefs. At the age of seventeen he spends the first full season in professional hockey. The team plays in the Western Hockey League, and Bure becomes one of the best players in the championship. He takes part in fifty-three games, scores twenty-seven goals, gives twenty-two assists. Naturally, no one wanted to let the player go, because he showed an excellent level of play.
Next year, the hockey player plays even better. It appears at the base in sixty-six fights, differs sixty-seven times at the opponents' goal and seventy-nine acts as an assistant.
Season 1993-1993 will again be incredibly successful in terms of personal statistics - 40 + 62 on the system of “goal + pass”. Next year he begins with the Fredericton Canadiens of the American Hockey League. He takes part in forty-three fights and scores forty-eight scoring points (23 + 25).
This concludes his performances in the lower leagues Valery Bure. His biography begins a new chapter.
Performances in the National Hockey League

But to the delight of the fans, already the next season he spends on his usual level and scores forty-two points in the goal + pass system (22 + 20).
He will play two more seasons for the Montreal Canadiens. Performances for this team by sports observers will be called successful.
