Carnage is a supervillain from the comics of the notorious Marvel Publishing House. Typically, this character appears in the stories of Spider-Man. However, this villain also appeared in comics about Deadpool, Venom, etc. Carnage ("Marvel") was coined by David Michelini. As planned by the author, this character was supposed to become a darker version of Venom.
Carnage ("Marvel", photo can be seen above) is a relatively fresh character. He first appeared on the pages of a comic book in 1992 (The Amazing Spider-Man No. 361). The villain appealed to readers, that is why Carnage has appeared in many stories about Spiderman. Would you like to know more about this supervillain?
Becoming
Cletus Kasidi was a serial killer and a maniac who was serving his term in prison. Once there was an escape from prison, the cause of which was Eddie Brock, again merged with his symbiote. A piece of the Venom symbiote separated from the main carrier and merged with Kasidi. Thus, one of the most dangerous and crazy characters was born - Carnage (Marvel). Kasidi's sick and perverse mind acts on the symbiote, making him incredibly bloodthirsty.
Carnage (Marvel)
In the comics, the symbiote repeatedly left Kasidi in order to find a new carrier. Once an alien costume managed to subdue the mind of the Silver Surfer. As a result, an incredibly dangerous and powerful creature came to light that called itself the Cosmic Carnage. As it turned out later, the former rider of Galactus destroyed the symbiotic planet, because of which they hated the Surfer. Fortunately, Spider-Man managed to save his alien friend. As a result, the symbiote returned to Kasidi, who, without his suit, began to die from an accelerated form. Surely this is a side effect of the symbiote that Eddie Brock experienced on himself.
In addition, the symbiote tried to join Ben Riley, who is better known as the Scarlet Spider. However, nothing came of it. Kasidi was so merged with his costume that the composition of his own blood was modified and looked like a kind of symbiote. As a result, left without his suit, Kesidi began to grow old instantly and see. The symbiote, in order to save the life of Cletus, was forced to leave the new carrier in the person of Ben Riley.
One day Carnage (Marvel) escaped from Raft Prison for supervillains. He went to the city in order to kill a couple of people. However, he met a superhero nicknamed Sentinel. He intervened and flew with Carnage beyond the earth's atmosphere. There, the Sentinel tore Carnage in half. After this incident, it was assumed that Kasidi died with his costume.
Return
As it turned out later, Cletus managed to survive. The symbiote, turning carbon dioxide into oxygen, filled Kesidi's lungs and thus did not let him die. Thus, Carnage spent some time in Earth orbit. This lasted until Cletus found Mike Hall (rival Tony Stark). He returned Carnage to Earth and used it to create a special high-tech exoskeleton. A similar device was tested on Dr. Tenis Nives, who lost her hand when meeting with supervillain Dopelganger.
However, the experiment went out of control. The symbiote took control of Dr. Nives and used it to infiltrate Hall Industries. It was there that Kletus Kasidi was located, half of whose body was replaced by the same prostheses based on a symbiote. The costume reunites with Cletus and engages with Iron Man and Spiderman. Carnage was defeated, but he still managed to escape with Dopelganger.
Symbiotic city
Kasidi arrives in Colorado, the city ββof Doverton. Carnage by force captured a large settlement, using copies of his symbiote. In fact, Doverton became the capital of a real symbiotic state ruled by Carnage. Of course, superheroes could not lose sight of this. The creature, along with part of the Avengers, arrived in Doverton. to stop the villain. However, they fell under the influence of a symbiote. Spiderman managed to free himself from the influence of the space suit thanks to the help of local residents who had not yet come under the influence of Carnage.
Spider-Man frees his associates and gives battle to the symbiote. During the battle, Carnage almost kills Spider-Man, but Flash Thompson comes to the rescue. As a result, a battle ensues between Thompson and Kesidy, as a result of which Carnage was neutralized and taken into custody.
Who is stronger - Venom or Carnage?
Among fans of comics, verbal battles have been going on for many years on the topic of who will win: Venom or Carnage. It is rather difficult to give a definite answer to this question. After all, it all depends on the circumstances of the battle and the screenwriter who writes the story. Nevertheless, we can confidently say that Carnage has more physical strength than that of Venom itself. This fact has been shown in comics many times. Also, donβt forget about Kesidi's insanity. He is a real maniac and killer who has no morality. It is for this reason that it is so dangerous.
