Civil-patriotic education is the tireless daily activity of everyone involved in the formation of national and common moral values ​​among the young generation. First of all, this role is played by the school, higher educational institutions and, of course, the family.

Civil-patriotic education of schoolchildren primarily takes place within the walls of the educational institution. It is here that the first steps in the cognition and participation of the child in the public life of the country begin. The best way to evoke unlimited pride in your child’s homeland is to introduce him to the glorious, heroic past of the state in which he lives in the lessons of history and literature. Thus, his first introduction to a high national culture, language, as well as to centuries-old traditions that are tremulously passed down from generation to generation.

You should pay attention to what significant historical events took place in your hometown, tell about the exploits of fellow countrymen in the past and present. It is also recommended to show children specific examples of how to live life worthily, bringing benefits to society. To do this, we should additionally talk about the known facts of self-sacrifice in the name of peace and goodness on Earth.

Civil-patriotic education implies the development of high moral and moral values. In this matter, one cannot do without knowledge of the history of one’s country, respect for its culture and language.

Civil-patriotic education of schoolchildren is the primary task of a modern democratic society, which is being successfully implemented today. This does not require large financial investments, since the most accessible form of communication and the first moral examples can be thematic lessons of courage, city tours of places of military glory, a collective discussion of patriotic films.

After such events, each young man will have a natural desire, like a true patriot, to honestly serve his homeland and contribute to the prosperity of the Fatherland. The young citizen today clearly understands that he must honorly fulfill his constitutional duty to protect the Fatherland, and that he is personally responsible for the present and future of Russia.

The manifestation of high patriotism and civil feat can be traced on the numerous examples that took place during the Great Patriotic War. The soldier did not think for a minute about his duty to the motherland, but clearly fulfilled it.

Usually, civil-patriotic education in the school is carried out by each teacher, since it is a person of this profession who is a role model for his students, and each of his words is perceived by the child as truth. Statements by teachers about any significant event in the country should be democratic and inclined towards an active life position.

The role of the school in civic education is invaluable, as it lays down such necessary personal qualities as determination, perseverance, the pursuit of truth, indifference and mutual assistance. It is she who initially assumes the functions of forming a child's understanding of justice, and also makes it possible to evaluate the civic actions of individuals. This is the important role civil-patriotic education plays in school.
