Marc Dennis GonzĂĄlez Hoffman, better known as Marc GonzĂĄlez, is a Chilean footballer and plays in the position of left midfielder. It has excellent speed, which is why it was nicknamed the fans of Speedy Gonzalez.
Youth
Marc Gonzalez was born July 10, 1984. The birthplace is Durban in South Africa. Mark's father is a former footballer who played for the Chilean national team, and then, together with his coach, moved to South Africa. Pope Mark was distinguished by his explosive character and was known as a bones. However, the son did not go to him. Marc GonzĂĄlez is not distinguished by temperament, and his feature is rather speed. Being at a young age, I managed to play for local teams.
Universidad Catholic and Chile
At the age of ten, the footballer moved with his mother to Chile. It was here that he was able to show his talents for the first time. Marc GonzĂĄlez signed his first professional contract in 2002 with the local club Universidad Catholicos. In his composition, the football player spent two years, having managed to appear on the field forty-two times during this time, and scored eight goals.
The national football player Gonzalez Mark, whose biography is quite extensive, got to the national team at the age of seventeen. Surely the coaches of the South African national team still regret such a loss. However, in the team he did not succeed. Mark Gonzalez is a high-speed soccer player. Other players could not adapt to its speed, because of which the team game was falling apart. Because of this, he often quarreled with coaches. There were cases when Gonzalez even excommunicated from games in the national team. Nevertheless, the player is still playing in the national team.
Albacete and transfer to Liverpool
In 2004, Marc GonzĂĄlez moved to Spain, where he began to play for Albacete. Having played the season, the player became interested in the English âLiverpoolâ. An obstacle in the transition was the injury, because of which the British authorities did not want to issue a visa. The directors of the club tried their best to sign the player, presenting the government various documents that were supposed to help in the transfer.
The result was that after recovering the football player went on loan at Albacete. Soon, the player was leased to the Spanish Real Sociedad. In the team, the player showed excellent performance and it was here that he received the nickname Fast Gonzalez.
To play in the championship of England Gonzalez needed to spend the necessary number of matches in the national team of Chile, which he did by the end of the 2005/06 season.
In August, the footballer was able to debut for his new club. The first appearance occurred in the third qualifying match of the Champions League. Replacing Gerrard at the end of the meeting, three minutes later Gonzalez scored his first goal with Liverpool. In the first match of the Premier League against Tottenham, the footballer was also able to excel.
However, he could not firmly gain a foothold in the team. The reason for this can be called the fact that often players do not adapt well to the game in the English championship, and also, probably, the consequences of the cruciate ligament injury that he received even before moving to England played a role. This and other minor injuries did not allow to sparkle in the âLiverpoolâ, and the player was forced to leave the English club. In total, the âredâ Gonzalez spent twenty-five matches and scored two goals.
Real Betis
In 2007, the football player returned to Spain and signed a contract with Real Betis. In the club, the player was able to reaffirm himself by scoring important goals in the Champions League, âMilanâ and in the championship of Spain âRealâ. The football player again became interested in many famous teams. Having played two seasons in Spain, Gonzalez went to Russia. The reason for the transition could be the fact that âReal Betisâ held uncertain games and dropped out of the first division. In total, the Spanish club played forty-four matches and scored ten goals.
CSKA
In the summer of 2009, Marc GonzĂĄlez, CSKA and Betis agreed on a transfer. The term of the contract was five years. He made his debut in the game for the Moscow club Gonzalez in the match of the national championship. Having replaced, the player was able to distinguish himself with an assist.

The following season, Gonzalez became a base player and appeared in twenty-one matches. The player scored regularly, but was often forced to miss games due to injuries. At the end of 2010, he was mistakenly charged with rape.
Season 2011/12 for the player was unsuccessful. After playing five matches and scoring two goals, the player was injured and was forced to miss the game until September. However, soon the footballer was again injured and missed the meeting until the beginning of 2012. Then, after conducting only one collection with the team, Gonzalez felt pain and went for an examination in the United States of America. Subsequently, it became clear that Mark will not appear on the field until the end of the season.
In the summer, the player was able to enter the field, but in the fall was again injured. As Gonzalez himself admitted, then he wanted to end his career. However, the doctor and coaching staff claimed that the player would soon be able to return to the field.
In the spring of 2013, the player began to play for the youth team, and in the summer appeared at the base. Nevertheless, before the end of the year, Gonzalez failed to gain a foothold in the base and decided to leave the club.
Universidad Catholic and Sport Recife
Soon, the player was leased to the Chilean team, but in 2015 he completely transferred to the club. In Chile, Marc GonzĂĄlez was again able to play very brightly and colorfully, often even differing in doubles.
In early 2016, the player signed a contract with the Brazilian Sport Recife team.
