Background to the film Jack and the Beanstalk
According to the plot of the fairy tale, at the events of which the film was made, the main character, a poor man named Jack, is sent by his mother to the market to sell their only value: a cow. On the way, the guy meets a man who offers to exchange a cow for magic beans, supposedly huge stems grow out of them, above the sky itself. Jack makes a deal, but his mother, seeing that her son has not brought home a dime, is angry and throws the beans out the window. The next morning, a huge bean tree really grows from the seeds. Jack crawls on him and gets on the road leading to a huge house. The boy goes inside, sees the mistress-giantess, and admits to her that he is very hungry. An indifferent woman treats the boy with the most delicious food, but then her husband returns - the evil giant - and the boy has to hide in the stove. When the ogre goes to bed, Jack quietly crawls out of the stove and runs home. However, then the boy returns and steals the treasures of the giants: a bag of gold and a goose that can carry golden eggs. The giant chases after Jack, but the cunning boy cuts the stems along which you can go down to the ground. Thus, the giant is cut off from the world of Jack and cannot reach him.
