Solomina Maria Antoninovna, better known as the wife of Vitaly Solomin, once quite effectively began her acting career. But having starred in only a few scenes, she left the movie screens, exchanging the spotlights for the life of her wife and mother. Maria never regretted her step, because she never aspired to be an actress. And on the other side of the scale was her Vitaly and two daughters.
Children and teenagers
Solomina Maria Antoninovna (her maiden name Leonidova) was not in the field of view of the audience long enough so that journalists and biographers would not annoy her with their attention. That is why quite a bit is known about the childhood and youth of this lovely woman.
Solomina Maria Antoninovna, whose photo reflects not only her beauty, but also tenderness and touching, was born on the second March day of 1949. After receiving a school certificate, she became a student at the Higher School of Arts. Mukhina in Leningrad. But she received her diploma at the Moscow Textile Institute. After all, she so wanted to be with her husband.
From City Romance to Marriage
Masha really did not think about acting. Even on the shooting of her first picture, she got by accident. Solomina was then still a student. Once she was walking around the city when she ran into Todorovsky’s assistant, who was then preparing to shoot City Romance. The director began the search for an actress who would look like the heroine of his film.
Maria was very fragile and pretty, like a child. Photos of a girl in her youth reflect this feature. She was invited to the test and immediately approved. Thanks to this role, Maria not only became famous, she was loved by the audience, because she so definitely got into the image. And the film itself opened her way to a big movie.
The future husband of Maria - actor Vitaly Solomin - divorced his first wife after he discovered her betrayal. He decided for himself not to marry in the next decade. But on the set, he met a naive, bright girl and instantly “disappeared”.
True, not only he, but also the director felt sympathy for Maria Leonidova. At that time, Solomin was not approved for the role - played by Evgeny Kindinov. But he was not going to give up in the fight for the girl. Although at first Masha was sympathetic to Todorovsky, Vitaly doubled his courtship: every free minute he flew to her, sang serenades and gave armfuls of flowers.
In 1970, in Odessa, where they shot City Romance, there was an epidemic of cholera. Vitaly could not come, and Mary was not released. Therefore, Solomin wrote her very touching letters.
A little later in Leningrad, a modest wedding took place, to which the groom escaped literally for three to four days. But the next film, in which actress Maria Solomina was shot, was Clouds (1973). It was received by the audience much quieter and quieter than its debut, which was mentioned above. Four years later, her husband allowed Masha to star in “Jump from the Roof”, and that’s only because he himself worked on this set. But the spouses' impressions of the picture remained very mediocre, and the film itself was not particularly successful.
But the tape "Two in a new house" almost became the reason for the divorce of the Solomins. Vitaly was jealous of Maria to her painting partner Alexander Abdulov. After filming, he demanded that his wife act in films only with him.
By that time, Solomina Maria Antoninovna was already not only a wife, but also a mother, she did not cherish the dream of constantly acting. She did not want to disobey her husband. From that moment on, her filmography was replenished with only two significant roles by which she is remembered and loved until now.
1979 brought the young actress the role of the twin Stoner - Helen and Julia. This was the first episode of one of the best series in the Soviet Union about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. A couple of years later, Maria again appeared on the screen in the film adaptation of the operetta Silva. Solomina was approved for the role of Stassi. After that, Maria Antoninovna no longer acted in film, fully devoting herself to the family.
About patience, wisdom and forgiveness
Vitaly Solomin was always too jealous of a man. If Maria was sitting up with a girlfriend in a cafe, he could not let her go home for the night. At the same time, he did not hesitate to use the favor of the fans, tying up non-binding relationships on the set or during the tour.
Mary talked about her husband’s hobbies. The blow for her was Vitaly’s romance with Elena Tsyplakova, because the young woman did not expect such a betrayal from her husband. She was very painful, so Masha suggested that Solomin choose - she or Lena, because the uncertainty was simply excruciating. She sorted out the relationship, cried. And all this time she loved her husband.
With lesser tears, Maria experienced her husband's sympathy for Svetlana Amanova, but a heartache burned her for a very long time. And yet she found the strength to forgive. And he saw in this her female wisdom and finally decided for himself not to destroy the family. From this moment, Solomin did not perceive questions about his past hobbies. In 1984 (in some sources - 1983), another daughter was born to them - Lisa. The actor adored his family. For girls, he was an indisputable authority, a loving husband and father. The loss of a loved one ...
Solomina Maria Antoninovna once recalled that her husband envied Andrei Mironov that he passed away right on stage. Perhaps this is how he built his own destiny. On that day, Vitaly Methodievich played in Krechinsky’s Wedding. Suddenly, his left arm and leg stopped listening, his tongue began to weave. After the end of the first act, he became very ill. He stayed at the Sklifosofsky Institute for a month, during which the family hoped for a miracle. But it did not happen. Solomin died in late spring 2002. Now Mary had to learn to live without her beloved husband.
Their happiness was not cloudless. The ocean of passions nearly ruined their relationship. But they managed to go through all the difficulties and difficulties and experience a great feeling of love for each other. And so it was until the very last day.
Now the attention to this lovely woman has become much less, because she was more interested in everyone as the wife of a great actor. Her last public appearance took place in 2012, when a memorial plaque was opened to Vitaly Solomin. What Maria Antoninovna is doing now is unknown.
