Contract service
Each soldier has a choice about whether to connect life with the armed forces or forget about the army immediately after the expiration of their service life. For some, the
contract system seems quite attractive
. It enables the soldier to continue to work in the structure where he served. In addition, the transition to this
type of work is possible after six months in the walls of a
military unit as a conscript conscript.
The transition to a contract system can result in both a reduction and an increase in the service life. The danger lies in the fact that such a soldier is subject to special requirements, violating which he can return to the ranks of soldiers of military service. Such requirements include strict discipline, a ban on alcohol and obscene behavior, the prevention of fights and disturbances in public order. Any deviation from the established norms and rules will lead to the fact that the soldier will be obliged to serve the time that he wanted to save.
On the other hand, when switching to a contractual basis, an agreement is concluded, according to which the mandatory service life is two years. This contract can be changed only in the event of disciplinary offenses or the military’s own desire to return to the ranks of conscripts.
Disciplinary misconduct
An increase in military service also entails disciplinary action and stay on guardhouse. The charter of the armed forces stipulates that the maximum term for keeping a soldier there must not exceed ten days. The time a soldier spends there is not included in the term of service.
Misconduct for which a soldier is punished in this way can be very different. Often it depends on those chiefs who, according to the disciplinary charter, are empowered to arrest soldiers and sergeants at their discretion.
Disciplinary Battalion
For misconduct that entails criminal liability, military personnel are sent to a disciplinary battalion. This is a military unit that is designed to contain soldiers and sergeants held accountable by a military court. A stay in a disciplinary battalion is not included in the term of service. Upon completion of the sentence, servicemen are sent to the regular army. The duration of a disciplinary battalion is three years. Currently, military personnel can be amnestied and released ahead of schedule.
