Toothache folk remedies - only to relieve discomfort

Toothache is very insidious and can affect anyone who has not even complained about this problem before. Moreover, unpleasant sensations can occur at any time of the day, although in most cases they choose night time, when there is practically no way to see a doctor. In this case, you have to use folk remedies for toothache, which will help relieve suffering at least until the morning - before visiting the dentist.

In principle, such pain can occur due to a variety of reasons - due to carious processes occurring in the mouth, due to the consequences of unsuccessful treatment, inflammation of the nerve or gums. And in any case, it is important not only to remove the symptoms, but also to eliminate the cause itself, otherwise the pain may return with a new force. Only traditional medicine is able to help in this, but folk remedies are also “not fond of” toothache, therefore, with each attack, herbal infusions or other drugs should be used. For example, an excellent solution to the problem is an infusion of vodka. For its preparation, it is necessary to pour birch buds (50 g.) With this strong alcoholic drink (500 ml.) And let it brew for 10 days. In the finished infusion, you need to dip a cotton swab and attach it to the diseased tooth. You can also rinse with warm water (350 ml.) With salt (15 g.) And iodine (2-3 drops).

It is also effective to treat toothache at home with the help of wine vinegar (30 ml.), With which finely chopped mint and raspberry leaves are poured. Three days later, when the substance is properly infused, they can rinse their mouth. Like sage (1 tbsp. L.), Brewed in a glass of boiling water and chilled for an hour.

But these measures are perfect for the prevention of diseases or if your teeth often hurt or bleed. If the pain arose suddenly, and it should be removed immediately, you can use the following method: take a piece of fat and put it between the gum and cheek for a quarter of an hour in the area of the diseased tooth. In addition, to prevent folk remedies from “winning” toothache, such remedies should be combined - rinsing with infusions should be combined with laying fresh fat, a piece of beet, a small amount of horse sorrel or plantain in place of a sick tooth.

Sometimes acupressure is useful - you need to squeeze the whiskey with your fingers and hold it for 30-40 seconds, and then repeat the procedure several more times. You can press the thumb on the carotid artery under the lower jaw, where the diseased tooth is located, and slightly press until the pain disappears completely.

When tormented by a toothache, folk remedies may be the most original: for example, some “experienced patients” recommend wringing finely chopped garlic on the inside of the wrist, moreover, on the arm opposite the side on which the problem tooth is located. That is, if the tooth hurts on the left, the garlic should be located on the right side, and vice versa. You can also lay a little crushed onion under the thumbnail - the principle of arrangement is the same as with garlic. And if the pain torments young children, and is associated with teething, then it is possible, on the recommendation of our ancestors, to hang a piece of amber on their neck.

Of course, folk remedies do not tolerate toothache and succumb to them, but exclusively up to a certain point, in addition, they bring temporary relief. Using these methods, you can remove acute bouts of pain and endure them before going to the dentist. Remember that the pain that has disappeared does not mean that it will not return again and with much greater intensity. As soon as the opportunity arises, you must immediately contact a specialist who will eliminate the cause of the disease and ensure that the pain never returns.
