Plot

As a result, the Capitol destroyed the thirteenth District and created the Hunger Games as an eternal reminder that you should not become an enemy of the government.
These are fierce and merciless competitions held annually. Each year, one young man and one girl are selected from all the Districts, who go to the Capitol to die. Indeed, in the Games there can be only one winner. One day, Pam Everdeen, the younger sister of Katniss, becomes a tribute from the twelfth District. The eldest of the sisters does not intend to send Pam to death, so she becomes a volunteer. This act triggers a chain of events that will lead to major changes.
