Among the many fishing tackle there are those that all fishermen have heard of, many even held in their hands, but they are rarely used in fishing. For example, a bombardment is a well-known, efficient snap-in, but for some reason not popular among spinning players.
Most often, a bombard is used in combination with the most common lures, but its use with fly flies in combination with very light tackle is especially effective.
The design is completely simple: put the bombard on the main line, then the stopper, swivel, tie a leash to it, which ends with a front sight. Despite the simplicity of the method, the selection of each element of the snap has some features.
The main fishing line can be a monofilament and cord, which increases and improves the control of the bait.
Now in fishing shops more than a dozen of the most diverse models of bombardments of various sizes are presented. All of them can be divided into groups depending on buoyancy: floating, quickly sinking and slowly sinking, as well as suspenders.
The choice of the desired model depends on the depth at which fishing is conducted, and the presence of the current. In stagnant water, it is more appropriate to use suspenders, and sinking in the flow. It should be borne in mind that the bombardment can distract fish from the bait, therefore, choosing it by weight, give preference to smaller models, but allowing you to throw equipment at the distance you need.
Usually bombardment involves a distance of 50-60 meters. Using powerful spinning, you can send a heavy bombard and 100 meters, but at this distance it is impossible to control the bait.
The leash must be made long, its length must depend on the length of the rod. For example, with a rod length of 2.4 meters with certain skills, you can use a leash up to 1.5 meters long. It may be from fluorocarbon, but a monofore will do, but only transparent. The thickness of the leash depends on what kind of flies you will catch. If it is a large and heavy streamer, put 0.2 mm, if it is very small, 0.16 mm is more suitable.
Catching a bombard is a fascinating and quite effective method, but you need to know that when using it you need to take into account all the little things. It may seem strange, but flies are the main and most important element of the snap. Everything is important here: both size and color. The unwritten rule, βThe larger the bait, the larger the fish,β doesnβt apply when catching a bombard is applied.
Some anglers are not happy with items bought at the store. But we believe that a do-it-yourself bombard is made only when the store does not have the necessary assortment. In other cases, using improvised bombers is not practical. Those who are forced to take such a step usually use wine corks and a lead weighting agent, whose weight alone is very difficult to calculate.
Using flies in combination with a bombard allows you to catch various fish, even predatory ones. Flies that mimic insects really liked zander and bersh.
Since almost every resident of our country loves fishing, many people will be interested in bombardment.
