What documents are needed to apply for a pension

Having reached a certain age or due to circumstances, sooner or later a person retires. In order to avoid any special problems with its design, you need to know a few key points of how this procedure occurs.

First you need to make a statement to the office of the Pension Fund. They will prompt a list of documents for applying for a pension. Most often, this is a passport, a work book (to confirm work experience) and a certificate of average earnings. The latter must be said separately. Currently, salary for the period 2000-2001 is taken into account. However, if the income of the insured person for that period was less than 1.2 in relation to the average earnings in the country, then it is allowed to take any 5 years (60 months) in a row until 2002.

Citizens who are not registered, bring documents for applying for an old-age pension to the nearest branch of the Pension Fund where they are currently staying. Foreigners and people without Russian citizenship submit an application at their place of residence. This can be done in person, to use the services of mail, or to transfer through a proxy (representative).

In some cases, fund employees may ask for additional documents. Among them are certificates on the presence of disabled members in the family, confirmation that they are dependent on a pensioner, on the place of actual residence or stay on the territory of Russia, on the change of any personal data (name, surname, etc.). If a disability is established, then it is necessary to confirm it by indicating the recommended restrictions on work.

All documents for applying for a pension must be genuine. The necessary certificates need to be made only in the prescribed manner, which is recommended in the Fund. The passport is the document that will certify the identity, citizenship, age of the applicant, as well as place of residence (if there is a stamp on permanent registration). No less important documents for applying for a pension are certificates of average monthly income for a fixed period. To receive them, you must apply for an extract from the personal account, individual for each, in the pension insurance system. If in this case, earnings are taken over five years, and this time falls on the period when the insured has not yet received registration in this system, then certificates must be obtained from the employer based on the primary documents of the accountants. If it turns out that the organization has self-liquidated for some reason or has ceased its activity, you can contact the higher organizations, the archive or the successors of the company for papers if they have the necessary information.

It is not so difficult to collect documents for applying for a pension. It must be remembered that all certificates must be properly drawn up and certified so that in the future there will not be any problems or complaints. So, if you need a document about dependents (basically, children are meant), then their birth certificate is enough. If a child is older than 18 years old and at the same time is studying in an educational institution on a full-time basis, a certificate of this is required. Confirm the change of personal data will help marriage certificates, name changes, copies of acts of civil status, etc. An application for a well-deserved pension will be issued in the appropriate authority. All these requirements are agreed upon and approved in accordance with federal laws.

The most basic documents for applying for a pension are a work book, passport and income statement for the required period. If they are available in perfect order, then, most likely, there should not be any special problems when entering a “well-deserved” vacation.
